Chapter 4

[TAE POV]

Y/N: That's my brother Jimin and his girlfriend Chaeyoung.

I froze and tried to process the information. Wait, so does she know what werewolves are? Does she know where they are? I took a deep breath to calm myself down and ask her slowly. I cleared my throat and looked at her to see her staring at the picture with glossy eyes.

TAE: Where are they now?

Y/N: I don't know...

She whispered. I frowned.

TAE: W-what do you mean?

She let out a sigh.

Y/N: We should get started on the project---

TAE: Answer my question.

Y/N: Why are you so interested in my family matters?

TAE: I know them.

I bit my tongue, no pack information is supposed to be shared and that's exactly what I almost did. I'm going to make a great alpha. I saw how her eyes widened and she walked a little closer to me.

Y/N: How do you know them?

TAE: Umm, there's this forest kind of place that I visit quite often. I've seen them there.

Y/N: Y-you have? Can you take me there? To that place---

I noticed how she was almost hyperventilating. I quickly made her sit down on the couch and kneeled down in front of her and held her hands and slowly caressed it. I talked in a low and calming voice.

TAE: Hey, it's okay, breathe.

She took a deep breath but when she released it, it was still very shaky.

TAE: Do you wanna tell me what happened?

I saw the way the tears were streaming down her cheeks, I let out a soft sigh and wiped it using the sleeve of my shirt. 

TAE: I know we just met today, but sometimes telling someone what's bothering you helps.

I said, with a soft smile. She looked back at me and gave me a small smile.

Y/N: Yeah, you're right, I'll tell you, a year ago, Jimin met Chaeyoung and they fell in love in like 5 seconds. 

She chuckled a little and smiled sadly.

Y/N: Everything was perfect back then, for the first time I saw him happy after our parent's death. I felt like the luckiest person in the whole world. Chaeyoung Unnie was the best, she took care of me and I felt like I had an elder sister. 

TAE: What went wrong then?

Y/N: They told me they were going for a vacation for a week, "couples only".

She scoffed lightly.

Y/N: But, what was weird was that they made it seem like that was going to be the last time they saw me. I didn't take it seriously when they left but then, they never came back. 1 week went by, and I waited for almost a month when I realized that they were gone. I filed a police case but they never found them, they closed the case and told me that they were most probably d-dead.

Y/N: But I know that they're alive, I'm sure of it. It's just I don't know where they are---

She couldn't continue as she burst into tears.

Y/N: Maybe they're mad a-at me for something that I did and they d-don't want to talk to me but, I just want to know if they're safe, if they're okay--

I pulled her into a hug and caressed her back, I felt her body stiffen.
