I walked with Blair and Serena, we were back at school and talking about the Cotillion as we were on our way to rehearsals .

"I'm actually glad I'm going with Prince Theodore instead of Nate. The further we get from the break up, the more self involved I see he was." Blair commented

"That's a bit harsh isn't it. If I remembered that he was supposed to be calling you, I would have said something." I had told her that I was the one Nate was hugging in that picture, she wasn't mad.

"Not your fault. besides he was always so brooding, so tortured. A girl wants Romeo, not Hamlet."

"Romeo, Died." Serena added

"At least he died for something exciting and I want my debutante ball to be something to die for." we laughed

"Be careful what you wish for. Oh and Serena, thank you for letting me borrow your boyfriend. You're the best."

"It's okay. I'm not into it anyway."

"I can't believe you're going with Dan Humphrey." Blair scrunches up her nose.

"Why not? He's normal, there is no drama with him, he's better than my brother and I have history with Nate so..." I trail off

"True. All I get with Nate is some Rose in the back of a town car. But with the prince I get a security detail and a high speed chase to the Pierre after it's over."

"Oh we can see you on the cover of Hello already." Serena jokes

"Well try the New York times. They've chose me for a night out with. I'm gonna give them the most perfect night out of the year ." she bragged and I rolled my eyes

"S, Is your Mom mad that you're not being presented?" I wonder

"Well she doesn't have a leg to stand on since I found out she used to be my boyfriend's father's biggest fan. It sounds so gross when you say it out loud." she winced

"I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for that." I chuckled

"More than that here is us thinking you actually wanted to go." Blair grinned

"I'm here for the two of you aren't I?"

"Your meeting your grandmother and your boyfriend here." We made our way inside to practice. I saw Dan.

"Hi." Serena and I chimed

"Hey, so what are we doing?" he asked me.

"Okay, you're with me, kiss Serena bye." he chuckled but did so and we went to practice

"Okay, have you been watching the videos i sent you?"

"Yes and Jenny even helped me not feel like a fool." I giggled

"Well I must thank her after. Just relax, if you mess up it's fine I will help you later." He sighed and nodded as we began to practice the group dance.

"Dan, over here!" Serena called. We looked over

"Oh, this should be fun. Good luck." He headed over and Nate stood in front of me.

"Nathaniel, how's your Dad?" I asked as we started to dance

"He's getting better. how are you?"

"Floating. I have been dreaming of Cotillion and it's finally here, one of three important events in a girls live that includes a beautiful dress." he chuckled and twirled be around before bringing me back in and dipping me down. We stared at each other for a moment.

"Getting dizzy." I broke the trance. He lifted me back up. "Um.. I'm going to get some water." I walked away.

"Rosie, you remember my grandma." Serena yanked me towards her

"Of course. Ms CeCe the most fabulous grandma of all time." I complimented the older woman

"You're too kind. It's lovely to see you again. Serena tells me you've commandeered her boyfriend for Cotillion." She commented

"I have."

"Despite his opinion against it?" she wondered

"Well he is our knight in school armour, you remember how my brother is. I want one thing to go right and as much as I love him. Which reminds me they've changed it for Sunday."

"Sunday, but I already have plans for Sunday. My Mom has a her art exhibit" my smile dropped. CeCe made her exit

"Oh, okay. I'll find someone else."

"Rosie, can you give us a minute." Serena asked. I left them too it.

-3rd Person-

Dan walked into the gallery and saw his parents talking.

"Good, your both here. I have a problem." The two stopped talking to give him their full attention.

"What's the matter son?" Rufus wondered

"The time table for this Debutante ball has been moved around instead of Saturday, it's Sunday." he told them. His Mom folded her arms

"But that's the night of my opening." Alison replied

"I know, And i want to be there but I promised Rose."

"Dan, when one of us has something we support each other." Alison responded

"Alison, Dan knows this." Rufus defended his son.

"I do but you don't know Rose. She's had a rough time of it and this means everything to her. I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. I promise that once my best friend and escort duties are over I will come." he replied

"Alison, I think it's for the best." Rufus agreed with his son

"But Rufas." she tried to protest

"I know where Dan is coming from, he's just trying to be a good friend to someone who needs a some positive. but only if you promise to make it before the end." he added looking towards him

"I will try my hardest." They reluctantly agreed. Dan called Rosie who was delighted.
