Chapter 15: An Ex Returns

Chase Jones...

He's one of my ex-boyfriends who doesn't understand why I broke up with him. What can I say? Its hard for a vampire like myself to stay calm with a human who smells delicious.

"Crystal, is that you?"

"Chase, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I came to see the sunset. I never dreamed I would see you again."

"Baby, who is this?" Tyler asked wrapping his arms around my stomach.

"Oh, Tyler this is Chase. He's an ex-boyfriend. Chase this is Tyler. He's my boyfriend." I said kind of hesitant.

"An ex ay?"

"Be nice." I said nudging his stomach.

"I didn't mean to interrupt you guys. I hope your happy Crystal. That's all I ever wanted for you."

"I know Chase. I couldn't be any happier."

"I'm sorry I couldn't provide what he provides for you." He said as he walked away.

"What's up with him?"

"He doesn't understand why I broke up with him."

"Its because of what we are, right?"

"I almost killed him several times throughout our relationship. I couldn't take it any longer." I said as I held back the tears.

I wasn't crying because I missed him or anything. All my life I've told myself that I wouldn't hurt anyone I knew. And with Chase, I forgot about that promise almost everyday. Just standing by him made my thirst unbearable.

"I know how you feel baby. Its hard to control it sometimes."

"Speaking of thirst, the girls and I are going out tomorrow to feed. Want to come?"

"I kind of have too. Someone has to make sure you don't do anything bad." He said kissing my neck. "That's my pleasure alone."

"God, you turn me on." I said pushing him against a tree.

"So do you. "

He smashed his lips against mine as he grabbed my butt making me squeal. I kissed him back with just as much force and we were soon battling for dominance as he flip us. My back hit the trunk as he pushed himself against me.

"Get a room!" We herd someone shout.

We separated and laughed at each other before I pushed him aside to see Abby.

"I hate you sometimes." I said to her.

"Yeah, you and everyone else. But you still love me."

"I think she loves me more." Tyler said.

"Its chicks before dicks. Not the other way around."

"Yeah sorry. That doesn't count for you cause you're not a chick." Tyler said, dissing her.

"You little..."

"Nothing about me is little. Just ask Crystal."

"Don't drag me into this." I said walking away from him. "I'm not apart of this conversation at all."

"Come on Crystal. The girls are waiting for us."

"But we don't hunt until tomorrow." I said walking with her to the car as Tyler followed.

"Its girls night remember. The night before we hunt we all have a sleepover at my place. Or did lover boy make you forget?"

"I told you already. Its our one month today. I was planning on spending the day with him."

"And now it's night."

"Come on Abby." Tyler pleaded. "Just one night."

"And what do I get in return?" She asked crossing her arms in front of her.

"Knowing you made your sister happy, and...a hug?" He kind of asked with open arms.

"I'm not hugging you."

"You know you want to." He said walking towards her.

"She can stay, but you can't ever give me a hug." She said pointing her finger at him.

"Ok. Come on Crystal. We still have a date to finish."

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the cliff again but not before Abby had a say.

"Use protection and not out here!" She yelled before getting in her car and driving off.

Tyler gently pulled my wrist. I followed him to a picnic bench and we finished watching the sunset. It was gorgeous. It made me forget what I was for a moment.

Tyler picked me up and sat me down in his lap as I giggled. I leaned my head on his shoulder and took in a deep breathe.

"I never want this moment to end." I told him.

"Neither do I baby, neither do I."

Hey guys. Sorry for the short chapter and and the lack of updates. I've been busy and kind if forgot about my stories for a little bit. But no worries. I'm back to working on.
