When You're Different in School

Chapter 7: Alike

"Justin! Get away from me!" I yelled putting my hand down

"W-what's i-in y-your m-mouth?!"

"Get in here."

I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the bathroom. He didn't fight back and say anything. His face was blank and his skin was as white as mine.

I shut the door to the bathroom behind me and that's when he freaked out.

"Please don't hurt me! I promise I'll be nicer to you! Just please keep me alive!"

"I'm not going to hurt you idiot. I have to atop the bleeding before I explain."

I grabbed the first aid kit and got out a wash cloth.

"Promise you won't bite me?"

"You were already bit stupid. Why do you think you can't remember?"

He didn't say anything. He stayed quiet as I cleaned the bite. After I got the bleeding to stop and removed the blood from his skin, he saw two small holes.

It was hard for me to hold my thirst down. I haven't had blood in a while and the girls and I only hunt ever so often and we share one person. They don't normally survive but we make it look like something happened.

"You should be fine." I told him.

"Thanks. Now please explain everything."

"I can't. All you can know is what you find out for yourself. oh and if you tell anyone about me, I'll rip your head off and drink every last drop of your blood."

"Got ya loud and clear."

"Good. Now I can tell you the person who bit you is a beginner."

"How can you tell?"

"One, the bite isn't that deep and second, the holes aren't that far apart. You may be dizzy in the morning."

"Think I could stay here?"

"What? Afraid he might be after you?"

"No. You know how to take care of this. I don't."

"Come on. If anyone asks, you were bit by a spider."

"Fine."

I opened the door and let Justin leave. I was ready for bed. after I locked the door, I went upstairs and plopped in my bed.

Great. Now I have to tell my girls Justin knows about me. He'll probably tell everyone. Then I'm going to be ruined. I'll have to leave everyone. I was really hoping no one would find out. At least until after High School.

I woke up to my phone ringing. I looked around and found myself on the ground next to some person I've never seen before. I found my phone and saw it was Abby.

"Hey Abby. What's up?"

"WHAT DID YOU DO!!!"

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm getting images from you again! That's what I'm talking about!"

well, I guess I should tell you guys. Abby and I have been friends since first grade. We found out we were vampires when we were eight. Her mom said that if a bond is strong enough, we could drink from each other and be able to sense how the other was feeling. Well one day we tried and it turns out that our bond was so strong that we can see images of what the other is doing. Only when we're sleeping, blacked out, or both want to.

"What did you see Abby?"

"I saw you jump out your window and go looking for pray to drink! Where are you now?!"

"Next to some person in...I don't know where we are."

"CRYSTAL!!! NOT AGAIN! YOU NEED TO CONTROL YOUR THIRST! THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THIS YEAR!"

"You know for a fact I can't help it. If I don't feed once a month, the thirst takes control. And having to clean Justin's blood after he was bitten didn't help."

"WHAT! JUSTIN KNOWS ABOUT YOU! DID YOU GIVE HIM THE WARNING!"

"Yes now calm down. Look and try to see if you know where I am."

"Fine but you have to concentrate."

I took a deep breath and slowly looked around. I saw a bench, several trees, and some buildings in the distance.

"Hey Abby." I said in the phone. "I think I'm in the park."

"That's what it looks like to me. Who's next to you?"

"Hang on." I looked in his pocket but didn't find any ID. I rolled him over so I could see his face. It was Tyler. "Shit! Abby it's the new guy Tyler!"

"Oh shit! Crystal!"

I looked on his neck and wrist to see if I could find where I bit him. There was nothing. And that's when I noticed it. I put my hand up to my neck and when I brought my hand back, I saw I was bleeding. I opened his mouth and saw them. He had fangs and they had blood. He was a vampire. And he bit me.

"Abby, I didn't get blood. Tyler did. He's a monster just like us."

"WHAT!!! TAKE A PICTURE THEN COME OVER!"

She hung up and I took the picture. I stood up and he started to wake up. I ran as fast as I could to Abby's. I didn't want him to think anything. I mean sire we kissed and felt the spark, but were not together. Right?
