I walked off the bus with Abby to be greeted by my little brother. I picked him up and swung him around a few times. After we were both dizzy, I sat him down and the three of us walled into the house.
"I'm home!" I shouted. My mom walked out of the kitchen and greeted us.
"Welcome home. Crystal straight to homework then chores."
"Got it mom." I turned to Abby and said, "Lets go to my room." She shook her head and grabbed her bag.
When we walked into my room, we were surprised by my makeup and nail polish scattered all around the floor.
"Cody!" I yelled. "I told you to stay out of my room. My things are not for you to play with!"
I ran out of my room and looked for him. I found him hiding behind my mom in the kitchen.
"Let me at him mom! He ruined my floor!"
"You will do no such thing. He didn't mean to. Right sweaty?"
"Yeah." He said.
"He left my nail polish open and it spilled onto my floor! I know it's ruined!"
"Then we'll get you a new carpet. But if you dare lay one finger on your brother, I'll take it out on you young lady."
"Fine!" I walked back up stair. Abby tried to calm me down but nothing was working.
"I hate my family Abby. They don't understand me at all."
"Well have you told your mom yet?"
"Oh yeah. Its easy telling the mother who hates you that your a gothic monster."
"I know."
"No you don't. Your family is so open and you all know. Unlike me, my only gothic monster family are you and the girls. Other than you guys, I have no one else."
"You know what you need. A good old fashioned gothic monster sleepover."
"That actually sounds good. When do you think?"
"How about tomorrow?"
"Perfect."
We got done with our homework and my chores. Its was 7:30 and time for Abby to go home. I didn't want her to leave. My mom is always nicer when she or any of my friends are here.
"If you want, I can walk home with you." I told her at my font door.
"No it's ok. I'll text you when I get home. Love ya gothic sis."
"Love ya too gothic sis."
I shut the door and started to walk away but the door bell rang. I chuckled and thought what Abby had forgotten. But when I opened the door, I has hit by a delicious smell.
"Justin, what are you doing here?"
"Oh hey Crystal. I don't know what happened. one minute I was walking along and the next I was on the ground bleeding." he showed me his wrist and I could tell the blood was fresh.
"Go to your house." I said covering my nose.
"I don't smell that bad do I?"
"Go home before something happens Justin."
"Crystal, were friends. And friends help each other."
"I am helping you. Now get away me. I don't want to hurt you." I tried closing the door but he let go of his wrist and pushed the door open.
"Why would you hurt me?"
"I can't tell you. Now please go."
"No."
"Justin! Get away from me!" I said putting my hand down.
He let go of the door and he turned white. He saw me. He saw why I had been hiding. He saw me as my gothic monster. My true self. Me...the gothic vampire I was.
