As the song ended, everyone cheered and a new song began. I breathe heavily and peered at Jax. His hands were still wrapped around my waist, and mine on his chest. I felt his heart drumming under my touch. Like me, he was also sweating and panting with all the energy we danced.

His blue eyes meet mine and he grinned. I beamed at him and we continued to look at each other while others danced around us.

It was so much fun like we were back in the days when we were kids and used to dance all the time. Jax and I used to dance and sing while Noah in the background played instruments. Those days were amazing and I missed them.

"Is she watching?" Jax questioned, getting me out of my daze.

"What?" I asked in confusion as my smile faded.

"Ivy. Is she watching?" He blinked his eyes at me. My jaw clenched at the mention of her.

I was having so much fun with Jax that I forgot he was dancing or more like pretending to dance to make Ivy jealous.

I peeked behind him and saw Ivy's place empty. "She's gone." I gritted.

He whirled his head, letting go of my waist. "Where did she go?" He bounced in his place, looking around.

"Hell, like I know." I fumed, leaving him there.

I pushed past people out of the dance floor and made my way to the balcony. On my way, I saw Kevin in the corner surrounded by people. He was upside down drinking from a flask with everyone chanting 'Chug, Chug!' I rolled my eyes at him.

He's going to regret that in the morning.

I inhale the fresh air as I stepped outside. Chilly wind blew making my sweaty body shiver. I wrapped my arms around my body and rubbed them to keep me warm.

Glancing down at the pool area, I observed everyone. They were all busy doing their things, playing beer pong in the corner, walking, flirting, and some were sitting on the poolside.

The night was clear with few stars sparking, and the dull sound of music came from behind. I looked around when my eyes caught a familiar blond boy surrounded by drunken girls. I giggled at the scowling face Noah made as he gently tried to push them away, but failed. Placing my arms on the railing, I leaned my head on them and observed him.

I don't get why he's single.

Noah's handsome, and that was obvious. A lot of girls tried to be with him but he politely decline them saying he wasn't interested. He dated a few girls- from few, I meant by only two but nothing worked. After declining half of the female population's invitations, everyone concluded he was gay.

But I don't believe it.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" Emily came beside me, leaning her back on the railing.

"Watching Noah," I said, without taking my eyes off him.

"And...Why are you watching him?" I felt her gaze boring into my head.

"Because he's cute and funny." I chuckled.

"According to the female population survey of our high school." She adjusted her glasses and glanced at him. "Noah is not cute and funny... He's hot and serious."

"For me he is." I smiled.

"I saw you were having fun with Jax." She continued.

"Yeah." I sighed.

Noah, after failed attempts of getting away from the girls, slumped his shoulder and looked up in frustration when his eyes caught mine. I held my breath, looking at him. He narrowed his eyes at me, then darted his gaze behind me.
