"This one... or this." I showed my two outfits to Emily.

We were on video chat because I was having a problem with what to wear. It was Sunday, and Noah would be here soon, so I had to get ready before that.

"Since you will be at home all day... I think the pink one will look good." Emily answered.

I looked at the pink sweater top with black leggings. "Excellent choice." I smiled, then went to my bathroom.

I unwrapped my towel and wore the clothes when Emily asked. "Are you going to tell him?"

"About what?"

"That you like him."

"How do I look?" I posed in front of the camera.

"Great." Emily beamed, then gave me a serious look. "Now answer my question."

"IDK, but definitely not today," I mumbled, combing my hair.

"Why?"

"Because I broke up with Jax like... two weeks ago, I don't want Noah to think that he's a rebound or something," I replied putting on my makeup.

"But you weren't exactly dating Jax."

"Noah doesn't know that."

"So tell him."

"No!" I turned towards confused-looking Emily. "I will not tell him about that."

"But why?"

"Because I don't want him to think of me as..." I waved my hands, thinking of a proper word.

"As...?"

"It will not make me look... good that I was fake dating Jax all this time to get him to fall for me and to make Ivy jealous."

"But Lexi-"

"You won't tell anyone, promise me Em." I gave her my best serious look.

She pondered on it, then sighed. "Fine, but I think you should tell him."

"I will, but first I have to find about the 'girl' he likes."

"I don't think there is a girl."

My brows knitted in confusion. "Noah wouldn't lie to me."

"Then why doesn't he tell you the name of that girl."

I shrugged, looking at myself in the mirror. "I'll try to find her name today." I beamed when I heard the doorbell. "He's here, I'll talk to you later." I hung up and ran downstairs to open the door, but dad beat me to it.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Wolf." Noah greeted dad and extended his hand. "I'm here for-"

"Lexi already told me about you." Dad watched him with a calculated gaze and gripped his hand tightly. "It's nice to see you again as a grown man."

I rolled my eyes at my dad's comment.

"Hi Noah, come in." I invited him cause dad didn't look like he wanted to.

Dad looked deadpan at Noah, then step aside, giving him space to enter. "Hi," Noah mumbled, standing beside me.

We sat in the living room as dad interrogated Noah. He asked him about what he did in the past, about his future plans, about the singing competition while I sat there quietly, looking between them. Noah looked confident while answering him and didn't stutter once. It looked like dad was taking his interview.

Maybe... it wasn't a good idea to bring Noah home.

"Ok!" I interrupted them. "I think that's enough for today." I glanced at dad and plastered a smile on my face. "We have to practice songs so... Ciao." I grabbed Noah's hand and dragged him upstairs.
