"Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things."
-Ann Brashares.

The Hotchner's had been in the company of Cascade for a whole 4 days. And to say they were thrilled to have her would be an understatement. She brightened their home and their lives.

Jack had fallen in love with her. Her wit, her personality, her charm, her lovable characteristics. All of her. They had been close before, but after her accident, they hadn't spoken as frequently as they wished. And so they fell out of communication, and contact.

Aaron was pleased with Jack's acceptance and understanding of his want to move on. They had believed they would never find another person to replace the shoes Haley left behind, and the two boys had been given the worlds mightiest luck as they were given a lifetime with Cas.

They hadn't a clue what today was going to be spent doing. Whether they would decide on a morning run, or maybe another movie to occupy their night. Jack had asked to visit Jessica and she, as always, was more than willing to rest the responsibilities of a child on her shoulders for one more night.

Jessica was tremendously happy that Aaron was moving on and attempting on accomplishing greater achievements. She was eternally greatly for the extra pair of hands, allowing the weight to decrease slightly. As much as she adores Jack, she also had a life to live. People to mingle with. And love to conquer.

Penelope had called around noon inviting the two over to Rossi's mansion for dinner, he, of course, would be cooking his infamous pasta as the others would admire the art before them. Rossi wasn't aware of their arrival, but he would only have to suck it up and deal with it.

It was now six p.m, they had all shared one or two glasses of wine with a remarkable amount of fresh, homemade pasta, courtesy of David Rossi. Aaron was as sober as a fiddle, while Cascade was slightly tipsy. Not entirely drunk, but the intent was there.

They had embraced all minutes with no interruption of children, no serial killers ruining their fun with open arms. All was well in their world. All was calm and peaceful, but that is never everlasting.

By eight, Aaron had finally decided it was time to head home. Run a warm bath while fetching water and aspirin for his companion, who, he was glad, endured a wonderful time with friends she held dear to her heart.

As all members had fallen asleep on Rossi's oversized couch, Dave was innocently tucked back in his bed comfortably. Snoring like a pig, and memorising the soft feeling of lying on a marshmallow. Aaron — as the only person remaining relatively sober — had silently volunteered to clean up after the others and himself.

Dave would reprimand him tomorrow morning that there was no need, that he himself could have tidied the living area after he had thrown the BAU out on the street. In all honestly, he was rather fond of the idea, seeing them all clueless as they tried to remember the events of the previous night. But failing miserably.

Aaron soon found the love of his life lying beside Derek on the couch, snuggling. Perhaps, jealous would describe his feelings, but then he understood why exactly the two were close. They had similar experiences and shared a mutual love for being dominant pain in the asses. Until she discovered the perks of being a kind, loving human who had a relatively normal life.

He picked her up bridal style, gently placing an arm beneath her knees while the other was placed protectively around her torso as he lifted her weightless body. She soon discovered a love for the warmth this person held, somehow, she was certain was Aaron. He was the only one to make her feel as though the world was constantly on fire.

Aaron and Cascade soon fell asleep on their couch, she was placed over his body, her arms rested on either side of him. His arm was snaked lovingly around her waist as the other was intertwined with her soft, delicate fingers.

Before Aaron allowed exhaustion to overpower his senses. He whispered a meaningful message barely audible, whether she heard his message or not was a crucial piece of information unknown.

Aaron awake to the slight movements of Cascade lying over his body. He turned his head and searched carefully for his mobile decided, occasionally checking back to ensure she remained soundly asleep.

A message from JJ occupied his mobile device screen, "We have a case."
