"When can I meet her?" McKenna asks.

"Later." I say.

"If you're in love with this girl, I should meet her." McKenna says.

When I was young, I fell in love

"I know you're sleeping with her. That means you really love her." She says.

"Holding hands was okay, but we're comfortable with each other now." I say.

We used to hold hands, man, that was enough (Yeah)
Then we grew up, started to touch

The bell rings and I put my book in my backpack.

"Bye." I say.

McKenna shakes her head and I leave. Charli comes out of the door across the hall and kisses me. She holds my hand and we walk down the hallway.

"How did your test go?" I ask.

"Pretty good. I'm really confident." Charli says as we go outside.

"As you should be." I say.

She smiles and we get on the bus. We sit in the back and she kisses me.

Used to kiss underneath the light on the back of the bus (Yeah)

"Is it just me or does your dad not really like me anymore?" I ask.

"He likes you." Charli says.

"He does not." I say.

I know your daddy didn't like me much

"He found out we were sleeping together and told me that he doesn't trust me. I told him you were the one and he just stared at me." I say.

And he didn't believe me when I said you were the one

"That's why I'm at McKenna's house at night. I'm sleeping there." I say.

"Don't worry about him. If you break up with me because of him, I will kick you in the—" Charli says.

"Shhh. Don't speak that into existence." I say adjusting myself.

She giggles and I kiss her.

Time Skip

Charli climbs out her window and onto the tree.

Oh, every day, she found a way out of the window to sneak out late

"Hurry up, granny." I whisper shout and she climbs down.

Charli flips me off and I chuckle.

"Where are we going?" Charli asks as we walk down the sidewalk.

"The Eastside, the city where the sun won't set." I say.

She used to meet me on the Eastside
In the city where the sun don't set

"Actually, I just want to leave. We can go anywhere we want." I say.

Baby, you know I just wanna leave tonight
We can go anywhere we want
