I picked up my phone that was buzzing and sat up in bed.

9:00AM on the dot.

"Hello.."

"Hey Rosa, I lost my ring Phil gave me a while back. It was a promise ring."

"Woahh..I ..ok. I'll be over."

I slowly got out of bed and put on jeans and a tank. I tied my hair up in a lazy bun and grabbed my keys.

"Rosa.." Gia hugged me. "Hey.."

I walked in the house witnessing it being shacked. "Damn Gia.."

"That ring it's just really important to me and I don't know where it is." Gia pouted.

I glanced at my finger. Bruno gave me a promise ring. It couldn't be her's and Phil's , just no. I held my hand out, "Gia don't get me wrong but It could be a possibility ..-"

Gia gasped and held my hand. "oh...goodness.." She let out her southern accent and all I did was laugh. "No, this isn't mine. But lord look at that beautiful ring.." Gia held her chest ..

"Did he propose? Geez"

I laughed and grinned just staring at her.

"No..no it's a...promise ring."

Gia covered her face.

"I'm sorry .."

"Don't be...it should be around here somewhere.."

I nodded and looked at her , she was devastated truly.

Then... I thought of the only messed up person that'll do something so stupid. "Gia?"

I looked at her and she looked at me, secretively. "Didn't I leave my bag here?"

"Yeah.. Thanksgiving day when you went after Bruno and you both disappeared into the night for passionate sex.."

"Ok, that's enough.." I giggled.

"I'm sorry I meant to tell you but I kept forgetting. Over the time I thought you just realized it was gone."

"It's my junk purse. I haven't been going out anywhere lately so I didn't need any of my make up." I said and there was a pause of silence.

"Uhm...has Paige been around lately?"

"Yeah, last night actually. She left this morning tho after I started to call you. Figured she didn't want any drama."

"You figured wrong."

"Where's my purse?"

"Oh Paige took.." Gia slapped her forehead.

"Why would she take my ring?"

"She's trying to make it seem like I took the ring. Plus her plan was to get you to call me and have me come over as we search for it like lost puppies. Meanwhile she visits her ex she's crazy for and when I go back still not knowing. Next week , bam. She spills the beans that she saw it in my purse." I crossed my arms and tapped my foot.

"Damn you're smart... It only makes sense though so."

"I want to see how long it'll take her to get back."

"Why? You think Bruno would..?"

"Complete honesty, yes. I want to see how much this promise ring means to him. I want to see that girl coming back in tears of rejection."

"Just get my ring later, because I do too. She's deceiving and I don't like people who are thieves." Gia said.

"Same.."
