Setsuna-chi, Setsuna-chi! My oh my, is the Queen of Diamonds ready to play a game?! Ahahahaha!
Setsuna awoke from a loud thunderstorm. Her face nearly heated, her body temperature was slightly abnormal.
Mira's voice said she'd be the Queen of Diamonds? Probably just a dream anyhow. She hates Diamond games regardless of the card difficulty.
She's nothing like Chishiya or Arisū solving puzzles like it's nothing. If Mira plans for her to be the Queen of Diamonds then it'll be game over for her.
At least I lasted this long...
Setsuna let out a delirious chuckle as her hand went under her pillow to grab three cards from her previous games.
Queen of Spades
Jack of Clubs
The last one made her gasp remembering it.
The Queen of Diamonds.
The last game from the previous "season" she played. She remembered it very clear as day. Won by luck... she felt so disgusted but joy as she took the victory home.
Russian Roulette but playing baccarat. Was the final game she played before deciding to stay in the Borderlands. Her mind has already fallen into depravity. There wasn't much left of her, her emotions were all drained. The people she thought she cared for were already dead. And everyone else manipulated their ways to survive.
A knock came from her door but before she could think her door burst open.
"Setsuna-san! The Hatter wants to see— heh?!" He saw what she was holding. She cursed herself deeply for not putting them away. She wasn't thinking at all.
"Tatta-kun! It's not what it looks like I swear. I was playing Solitaire!" She dropped the cards and held her hands up. He didn't buy it at all.
"If you were playing Solitaire... where are the other cards?" He rushed out of the room and this was on cue to leave the Beach at once. She needed to get out before she was caught red-handed. She remembered Danma's words during the first meeting.
"What happens if I refuse your offer?" she snickered assuming she had the upper hand.
"Oh, you see. The final rule, death to all traitors."
But she never carried a number, to begin with. So that could mean, she was never apart of the organization.

"There have been 12 deaths in the past 4 days of games," The Hatter paused. He was having a meeting with the executives. Takeru, Niragi, Aguni, Ann, Mira, Kuzuryū, Takatora, and Mahiru.
"If you think of it as an over 50% death rate, that's not bad of a number." The shatter says nonchalantly.
"But of course as the days near completion of card collection..." Kuzuryū was about to finish his sentence but the meeting room door burst open with Tatta and a couple of others following behind.
"Danma! I-It's u-urgent," the boy froze seeing everyone in the room glared at him for disrupting their meeting except for Takeru.
"I found S-S-Setsuna but ah—" Setsuna caught up to him and covered his mouth in front of everyone.
"Hello everyone, sorry that I didn't make the first half." Setsuna held onto the boy before he tells the 8 of them about her cards. And death to all traitors...
"No worries! We are about finished here," the Hatter was then cut off.
"Finished? We barely even started?" Niragi snickered and glared at Setsuna.
