"Chishiya... don't leave me." Her pure angelic voice was barely audible. She silently cried towering over his body clutching his head to her lap.
The wet tears slid down her face while the man laid peacefully next to her.
"I'm not worth your pity. It's all over... maybe, in this life I wasn't meant to be the hero." A smile formed on his lips. He was gravely injured and he barely had much time left.
"You're worth more than what others tell you or show you! This isn't fair! Why?! Why me?!" she cried as she clenched her eyes preventing more tears to spill.
Flash backs of Chishiya's father filled his memory. Would his father even care if he died?
The only hope lies with Arisū and Usagi...
______________ an hour before
"Arisū!" Setsuna waved as she ran over and behind him there stood the blonde idiot. She thought Usagi was here but she was mistaken. Maybe her vision was poor or she mistook Chishiya as Usagi.
"Since it was you, I knew you'd still be alive. Ever since the Beach." Chishiya spoke casually to Arisū. His eyes were despondent while Setsuna caught up to them. There was something strangely off about him. He doesn't seem his usual self.
Arisū scoffed, "that's right, you put me through hell back there..." his voice was hoarse and his body stiffened.
Setsuna turned to Chishiya, "we survived... aren't you happy?" That's all he wanted to hear was her voice. Life didn't matter to him at this point whether he did survive or not. He's not like how he was back at the Beach weeks ago.
"I'm glad you're feeling fine Setsuna. And Arisū, you're not still angry for what happened at the Beach?" Setsuna could feel the sadness latching onto his voice.
"No, I'm not in the right state of mind for that right now." Arisū was facing away from the two. The tension between the three were more or less awkward than intended. Chishiya really had a sick mind, what changed now? Chishiya's eyes met Setsuna that nearly melted her heart. She wanted to hug him more than anything. They're so close to ending the games.
"For some reason with you two here, this is calming... being able to talk with someone I know..." he sighed and Setsuna nudged his side.
"We're alive, so that means something. There are two games left; one of which will be opening soon. Aren't you at least happy?" Setsuna held hope at least whereas Chishiya did not.
"Seeing you, makes me happy... Setsuna." This brought water to her eyes. She hugged him without thinking. She was trying to hide her sobs. Arisū watched in awe thinking of how happy he had Usagi.
"You've somehow changed," Arisū said and Chishiya broke away from Setsuna. The smile on Chishiya's face faded, he turned to the two of them.
"I wanted to tell the two of you something..." he paused and looked at Arisū and before he could get the first word out. A bullet struck him in the shoulder.
"CHISHIYA!!" Setsuna didn't hesitate to run to his side. J-Just who would do this?! A million questions ran through her head. Her heart was racing with anticipation.
"Gya hahahaha!"
That laugh... NIRAGI!
"I'm so happy we get to meet again!!" He was turning worse than a sadistic maniac. He was worse than satan and Lucifer put together as one.
"Chishiya... please stay with me." She could feel wet stained tears roll down her cheeks. His smile was weak, very weak.
"I've finally found something I can throw these emotions at!" Niragi's voice irritated a vein in Setsuna. She wanted to lunge at him and kill him more than anything.
