The three of them excluding Niragi all stared wide and horrified. The situation has drastically escalated to something unavoidable, to begin with.
As Niragi started to aim his rifle at Arisū, Setsuna got up and charged directly at him with no silent battle cry.
She aimed her katana for the back of his neck, but Niragi was too slow to move his rifle to aim for her. He used the hilt of the gun to immobilize her with a single hit to the stomach.
"Ah—"
"Setsuna!" Arisū yelled and tried to aid her. Chishiya used his handgun to shoot the metallic bullets at Niragi. He was too weak to move any further than a few hand movements from the gun.
Setsuna was saved from Arisū helping her up and taking cover by another car.
"Isn't this fun? I've been waiting for something like this!! You guys gotta stop hiding and make a grand show out of this shootout!!" He was losing grasp of reality and plunging deeper into the concept of the Borderlands.
"Isn't this great weather?! A typhoon doesn't occur often!!" Niragi was more or less talking to himself. Chishiya was looking pretty entertained by his chiming mood.
"You're surprisedly still pretty lively." Chishiya amused the situation. Setsuna sighed, she wasn't as close to where he was considering her and Arisū were several meters away from Niragi.
"Stop it Niragi! Let's stop this! What good will come from this?!" Arisū's anger was already foreseen. His battle cry was more of a plea. Even Setsuna felt pity for Niragi's rage. He wanted revenge for the pain that was inflicted on him. He's hurt... Setsuna can see it in his eyes.
"Stop involving others in your own self-abandonment!!" He shouted once again, but of course, to even get any slight hint across to Niragi, would not appeal to him. He thrives on battle hunger and power over others.
"Self-abandonment? That's not it at all?" Niragi stood up top of the car that Arisū and Setsuna took cover at. Her eyes were wide as they could be. A small whimper escaped her lips and her emotions clenched. Would she ever be able to tell her family back at home how sorry she treated them? How much she failed as an Aikido trainer? Many thoughts rampaged her mind. Niragi was strictly pointing the gun at them.
"I'm simply doing exactly what I want to do! For people like us, it's all about ourselves." His sick mentality was turning sadistic by the second.
"You can go to hell with that logic!" Setsuna was held back by Arisū before she could try to get him. But the gun was pointed right at her.
"So you wish to die first..." a wicked grin plastered on his face far greater than the smiles the Hatter left behind.
"Than kill me, you're all talk but no bite. You clearly had more of an advantage than us—"
"Don't motivate him, what the hell?!" Arisū pushed her back down and the laughs that followed suit from Niragi were worse than the devil's himself.
"We feel like we know everything, and does that make us smart?" Setsuna couldn't help but entertain him. Even Chishiya wasn't pleased to see how far she is digging her grave at this point.
"No, we're just pieces of trash who'll never grow up..." his response was triggering to Setsuna to be called trash. Her own body felt repelled to lunge at him.
"We can never change so the only thing we can do is embrace!!"
Niragi's sick twisted mind was turning worse than a corrupted politician. Someone is going to be fatally wounded by the end of this.
