I keep thinking Akane's name is Akira. My bad from the last chapter!!
_____________
The day approached where she would be facing off the players and revealing herself to be the Queen of Diamonds. Her heart pounded against her ribcage.
She had to outsmart her opponents and thus, win at whatever it costed. Stay strong Chishiya... I won't die yet!
She walked into her game venue somewhere located in the Shinjuku district. The large table consisted of four other chairs presented and she sat at the queen size chair. There were machine guns pointed all around the walls at the table.
The game she was to play isn't even in her specialty. So how would she manage to surpass her opponents?
She sighed, each moment passing by just as the game venue lit up meaning it was open for the players to walk in. Only death awaits and the trickery outcome may cost them their lives.
Setsuna tapped her fingers on the large table and closed her eyes. Just then, three players walked in. "No way!" One screeched causing her to open one of her eyes.
"Rū..." Setsuna couldn't bring her eyes to meet hers. It would've been betrayal the poor brunette was feeling seeing Setsuna in the large chair.
"We can't commence if there is one short." She coughed while catching their attention.
"You're the biggest liar I have ever met. Now I have to face off with you?!" Rū roared angrily. Her emotions were showing drastically.
"Well that's a surprise..." another male participant says.
"And you are...?" Setsuna lowered her eyes on the male. He looked no older than twenty-five.
"Tenshi," he sat down at the table. Rū glared at Setsuna before she took her seat next to Tenshi.
"I'm Riko," an older man in his prime forties says sitting next to Rū. And they were just missing one person.
"I'm here!" Another yells at the entrance rushing in. Tatta's former friend Kotetsu.
"I'm Kotetsu Urashima." He says dryly and nearly out of breath before taking his seat next to Tenshi.
"That's four players..." Setsuna despondently says. Her voice was barely inaudible. So she was supposed to explain the game and the rules.
"The game is called: Duel Clash Poker. And as for the rules, the game is played with a special deck, two pairs of players against each other. Each player has eight different cards: numbered cards from one to seven and one Joker. The player who chooses the stronger card wins. However, if two players use the same card, they will outrival each other and the winner will be the person who played the next highest number. For example, when the chosen cards are two sevens, a four, and a two, the person who played four is considered the winner. The strongest card in the game is the Joker. Jokers can also outrival each other, though. The pair who manages to collect four coins first wins. Any questions before we begin?" There was no time limit. There will be four rounds untruthfully.
"Each round one person is eliminated?" Tenshi's eyes gazed up to the machine guns on the wall.
"Yes," Setsuna's hands entwined over top of the table.
"There is no time limit, but choose your cards wisely." She grabbed the deck passing them eight cards each.
Game difficulty: Queen of Diamonds.
Time limit: 30 seconds per round.
The one with the lowest card is eliminated from each round. And out-rival doesn't count for an elimination although, you don't win either.
