Chapter-14 Three Days, Three Murders

It was 6 Am when I had a call of Hana. She said," Arnold, wake up and get ready immediately and meet me at John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge." I quickly got ready and rushed towards the bridge. Hana was waiting for me. I asked Hana, "why you have called me here?" Hana answered, "just wait for others when they come I'll tell you." Sam arrived at the bridge and asked, "where's Veronica." I asked them, " Is she coming?" Hana replied, "yeah, she's coming but where is she? She's late."

When we were waiting for Veronica, a woman had a gun pointed towards us!! We were helpless we could just look at each other and think about something. In the meantime, Veronica came from her backside and changed the gun's direction towards the woman. Veronica pulled the trigger, the bullet passed through the woman's brain. She was dead, we all were looking at Veronica. We never imagined she'd kill someone.

Veronica said, "don't look at me like this, I can kill anyone who wants to harm my loved ones."
Hana interrupted," hey can I check if she has a phone or something?".We all agreed to it. Hana found a phone in her handbag but when we checked the call log this time we were shocked. This time the woman was being called by both of them Hudson and Nick. We quickly took the corpse to the abandoned parking lot and buried it.

The whole scene was getting complicated. In three consecutive days, we have murdered three different people and murderers were also three different people. We were feeling like we were criminals but it was the bitter truth. We were late for college, it was already 9 o'clock and the college gates close at 8 o'clock. We decided to bunk the college and hang out in the park. We saw Harry and Nikki gossiping in the park. We went towards them and overheard their talk. Nikki said, "We should do something immediately." I interrupted," Hey Nikki, what are you planning to do immediately?" They both were stunned for a second.

Nikki asked us," what are you all doing here? Don't you have your lectures?" We narrated the whole scene to her what had happened today morning. Nikki said, "so are you all planning a kill streak each day? According to it, the next would be Sam's turn." Sam's face turned pale, he wasn't able to speak anything. We all rushed to the other side of the park without saying anything.

We all asked Sam," are you ok your face turned pale." Sam replied, "the way Nikki said that next turn would be mine I was astonished." I said," it won't happen, Sam, don't worry about it." Hana said," yeah, so should I speak now" we all replied in affirmative. She continued," I think Hudson and Nick know each other but how that's the real question and why they are trying to kill Arnold"......
