Tim had spent the day chasing down a criminal cop, Jeremy Hawke, through the LA streets and Fair Street Mall while I was taking an exam at Los Angeles High School that would be a big determinator for whether or not I graduated with at least a 3.80 GPA. The only things I had left to do were take my end of course exams and then I would be home free.

When Tim got home that night, I was waiting on the couch with a book in hand. The chase had been televised, but I was still on edge. The cameras don't capture everything. At the sound of the door opening, I put my book, Pride and Prejudice, on the couch beside me, sitting up straight and alert.

The door closed and I could hear footsteps approaching the living room. I took a deep breath to calm my anxieties as best as I could. When Tim came into the room, his eyes locked on me and my tense posture. He sighed, setting down his bag and walking to stand in front of me.

We didn't exchange a word as I slowly stood before wrapping my arms around his neck in a hug. I could only find four words to explain my relief.

"I'm glad you're okay."
