Part 5
***
It'd been a few days since the team had gone to talk with Tony, and you were anxiously awaiting some kind of news from him regarding the time traveling thing. So far, there was nothing though.

Back at Tony's house, the team had watched you cautiously when you came walking back to the car with Tony, and you couldn't blame them. They were all probably curious to know what the two of you had talked about. You didn't say a word to them yet though, just letting Tony say goodbye to everyone and then climbing in the car to go home. Once you were about 5 minutes out, Steve asked you what had happened, and you couldn't stop smiling as you told them the news. Tony was going to try and help. Steve nearly drove the car off the road when you told him, and Natasha had tears in her eyes that she was trying to hide.

The first couple of days waiting had been bearable, as you figured Tony probably just needed time to study up and gather notes, but then after a few more days had gone by, you were starting to have doubts. Tony wasn't really the guy know needed weeks to study up on something. There hadn't even been so much as a call from him.

Now a week had gone by, and there was still nothing from him. Bruce had begun to do some testing for the time machine, wanting to get started on it as soon as possible, even if it meant doing so without Tony. He didn't want to send anybody in it just yet though, not thinking it was fully ready to be tested.

In the meantime, Nat, Steve and you had been sitting together in a briefing room, discussing what the plan would be for this mission. The more you talked about it though, the more you realized you were gonna need all the help you could get. There were 6 stones in all, all in different areas of time, and you'd need teams in order to get them all. This wasn't something just one person could do.

"Where is Thor these days?" Natasha asked you and Steve.

"Umm.." You flipped through some old files that Steve and a few others had organized a few years back in an attempt to keep an eye on where everyone was.

"It looks like he is in Tonsberg, Norway as far as we know." You answer her. "But that information might not be up to date... According to this, he hasn't left there since everyone went their separate ways. There isn't even anything on his activity log." You found it hard to believe that Thor hadn't left an area for over 5 years. Then again, you also never got to see how hard he'd been on himself after everything with Thanos.

"No.. That is probably pretty accurate." Steve answers, gently taking the file in your hands so he could look it over as well. "He still feels pretty bad about what happened. I've seen lot of shipments of beer going there over the years, so I think I know how he's handling it too." You hum softly in understanding and nod.

Natasha sighs softly. "I guess maybe we should look into having Bruce go talk with him. If he's gonna be in a drunken state, we're gonna want someone who's bigger than him to calm him down. Plus, I think they got pretty close in the years leading up to everything."

Steve nods and writes that down. He's been keeping a list of who we have left, and how we can reach them. He still hasn't told a lot of people about this plan yet, and you guess he won't until the time machine is actually done and working.

"OK.. so as of right now, as have me, (y/n), Nat, Bruce and Scott." He starts. "We still need to get Rocket and Nebula on board, but at least they're here with us. And then we still need to convince Tony still and then go and get Thor." He lists off before pausing. "Then we still have yet to ask, Okoye, Carol, Rhodey and Clint."

You knew it'd been coming. Of course Steve was going to try and get Clint on board with this. He was one of the original team, and he could bring some good skills to the group. The thought of him being back absolutely terrified you though. Sure, you loved him. He was your whole world after all. But how would things even be between the two of you? There were so many scenarios you could play through in your head where it ended up going horribly wrong. And that was if he even agreed to come back and help.
