The next morning, you awoke to a dull ache between your legs. A reminder of the events that took place not even 12 hours ago. Rolling over on to your side, you spot Clint still fast asleep next to you. He has his classic angry pout on his face, but aside from that, he looked rather peaceful.

Smiling softly, you roll a little closer to him and gently brush your lips against his. They were a little chapped feeling, but you didn't mind. You were thinking about all the places his lips had been last night.

Pressing soft kisses to his lips, Clint slowly began to wake up. He hums softly, his lips beginning to move against yours despite him still being half asleep. Soon though, his mind catches up and realizes what's happening, and a smile slowly forms on his lips. His arm moves around you, pulling you closer to him and then hooks a hand under your knee to bring your leg up over his hip. It then wanders back up, resting on your butt and giving it a squeeze, which in turn makes you giggle against his lips and pull away a little.

"Good morning." You whisper to him, fingers gently tracing his jawline. He gives you a sleepy smile back.

"Good morning, beautiful." He says, leaning back in to place more kisses on your lips. He hums softly against them. "Think we got time for a quickie before we meet up with the others?" He mutters against your lips, making you laugh again and shake your head.

"Depends what time it is." You smile, laughing as he rolls back over, somewhat frantically, to check his phone for the time.

"Uhh.. it is.. sh*t, it's almost 8:00. It's 7:41 right now." The whole team planned on meeting up around 8:00 to suit up and begin the Time Heist. "We can totally do it in 5 minutes, right?" Clint asks, looking back over to you.

"Maybe we used to be able to do it in 5 minutes. We should probably just get ready and head down." You wanted nothing more than to get intimate with Clint again, but today was a really important day, and you didn't want to be late.

"Aww, you're no fun." Clint teases, rolling onto his side and burying his face into your neck a little. "You are right though. We do need to get downstairs." He mutters. "It's a big day today."

You snuggled him back gently, loving the feeling of Clint's strong arms wrapped around you, though you could quickly sense something was off. He was holding you a little tighter than normal for a cuddle, and he felt tense. Not that you could blame him though. Your own anxieties about today were starting. Before you could ask him if he was alright, he lifts his head up.

"Hey... Whatever happens today... just promise me that you'll be careful. I can't get my world back but then lose you." His eyes were focused. Serious.

"Honey, nothing is gonna happen, I'll be fine. We both will-"

"Promise me." He says again, voice firm, and you nod a little. Cause you were an avenger, and you were going to make it out alive. You had too.

"I promise. But only if you promise the same."

Clint seems to relax the slightest bit once you give your promise, and he cracks the smallest smile as you make him promise the same. "Well, one of us has to be the reckless one." He jokes, but you don't laugh.

"I'm serious Clint. If I have to be careful, so do you." You match his seriousness from before, and Clint's eyes soften.

"Yes, ma'am. You have my word."

Today was the day. It was the day you'd been waiting for since your picnic on the farm all those years ago. The day you were going to bring everyone back.

Walking toward the time machine now felt daunting. Your heart was racing in your chest as walked with your head held high, trying to be as confident looking as the others. Despite the nerves racing though your system, their confidence was rubbing off on you.
