Serenity's Pov

"I really like you..."Zelliot trailed as he scooted closer to me, his thigh was touching mine and he was breathing on my neck. Yeah, I obviously didn't feel comfortable.

"I like you too Zelliot...as a friend."I stated nervously, his head snapped up and his brown eyes pierced through mine. Hurt flashed across his face and he looked down at where our hands were intertwined.

"Why?"He muttered and I let out a sigh. Why? Gawd this reminds me of those cheesy soap operas, just wait for somebody to commit suicide because they have unrequited love.

"Zelliot I-"

"What the hell is going on?!"Jace roughly snatched Zelliot's shirt collar and pulled him away from me. His blonde hair was a mess, like he ran his hand through it a few times, his jaw muscles were tightened and his gray eyes were almost black.

"We were just chatting." Zelliot spat looking at his brother with enmity. Why can't brothers ever get along? I decided to stop this before it got messy. People were now crowding around the sofa we were on.

"Jace, we were just talking." I tried to sooth.

"Talking? He was practically on top of you." He replied angrily, his knuckles were white from all the force he put into grasping Zelliot's shirt.

"Yeah little bro, we were just talking." Zelliot smirked and snatched his shirt away from Jace's grasp.

"You fu-"I clamped Jace's mouth before he could yell profanities at Zelliot that would surely start a bloody fight.

"Let it go Jace." I whispered in his ear and he tensed. He removed my hand looked at me pleadingly, as if asking for my permission to beat the crap out of his brother. I shook my head no and he sighed in frustration.

"Get out of my sight Elliot!" He shouted and wrapped his arm around my waist. I thought it would be better not to argue with his closeness and kept my mouth shut.

Zelliot looked down to where Jace was holding me and then his eyes locked with mine."Gladly." He muttered and turned to walk away. I sighed in relief; I was never good for drama. The people crowded around us looked disappointed and began to disperse.

"What a great brother." Jace muttered sarcastically and his grip on my waist tightened. It was obvious someone happened before for them to hate each other so strongly.

"What happened between you to?" I blurted out before I could stop myself. Jace stiffened and looked down at me with an emotionless expression.

"I don't want to talk about it right now." He told me in pleading tone, so I decided to drop it.
