Jimin wakes up the next morning to the sun shining through the window. He looks down and smiles at Jungkook who's sleeping against his chest.
Jimin plays with his hair gently and grins. At the beginning of their relationship, Jungkook wasn't a huge fan of physical contact. Over the years, he's grown to love it and now it's hard for Jimin to get rid of him at times.
He kisses his cheek. "Babe, wake up."
Jungkook stirs and gives him a kiss. "Good morning beautiful..." Jimin melts into the kiss and frowns when Jungkook abruptly pulls away. "Did you hear that?"
"Huh? That you think I'm beautiful—"
"No, I heard something in the kitchen. Is someone in our house?" He gets out of bed and pulls some sweats on.
Jimin sighs. "Babe, you're being paranoid. I didn't hear anything."
"I swear I heard a clinking sound downstairs."
The hair stands up on the back of Jimin's neck. "Stop it. You're scaring me."
Jungkook opens the top drawer of their dresser and pulls out a pistol. Jimin's eyes grow wide. "What the fuck?"
"It's just for safety. Stay here while I go check."
Jimin gets out of bed and puts on a shirt and some sweats as well. "I'm not gonna be alone in here if there's a chance someone broke in. I'm going with you."
Jungkook gives him a stern look. "No. Stay here. There's another pistol in the drawer."
"Babe—"
"I'm not putting you in danger. I'll just do a quick sweep of the first level and come back."
Jimin reluctantly nods and gives him a kiss. "Be careful."
"Of course I'll be careful." He walks out of the room and closes the door. Jimin sits on the bed and waits. After about 15 anxiety-filled minutes, Jungkook comes back. "There's no one in the house at the moment, but we need to call 911."
Jimin gulps. "Why?"
Jungkook looks frazzled. "There's a pot of freshly brewed coffee, a mug is missing, and I found this." He holds up a piece of printer paper that says 'just wanted to stop by'.
"Where was that?"
"On the kitchen counter."
