Jimin sits on the balcony of their hotel room and looks at the stars. It's 2AM and he can't seem to fall asleep. The thought of someone being in their house when they were asleep is terrifying.
The balcony door slides open and Jimin looks over his shoulder. It's a dazed and sleepy Jungkook, rubbing his eyes. "I rolled over to snuggle you but you weren't there. What's wrong?"
"Go back to bed, babe. I'm okay."
"You're never okay when you're up this late. Don't try to fool me. What's wrong?"
Jimin scoots over and let's Jungkook sit down next to him. "I can't stop thinking about someone breaking in..."
"We're getting the security system upgraded tomorrow and the gate people are coming in a few days. You don't need to worry because we'll be completely safe."
"I just want to know who was in our house. I should probably stop overthinking it, but... I can't help but think about when the TV was turned off. Now that I think about it, the remote was moved too. Someone was in our house when I was sleeping there alone."
Jungkook gulps. "If you ever feel like you want to move, tell me."
Jimin shakes his head. "You already payed a $1 million downpayment and they won't refund us."
"A million is nothing to me, babe. Our safety and your comfort is way more important."
Jimin curls against Jungkook's chest. "... I'll think about it. The gate and cameras will make me feel a lot better."
Jungkook tilts his chin up and kisses him. "By the way, I got confirmation that NAACP LDF finally received our donation."
"How much did you send? I forgot."
"$13 million."
Jimin smiles. "Donations are the only things I enjoy you spending absurd amounts of money on..."
Jungkook grins. "It's does make me feel like a good person. I know that's not the point of it, but at least it's rewarding. It's a nice ego boost."
Jimin scoffs. "Holy fuck, I still have so much to work on with you. You've gotta get your head out of your own ass." He mumbles something and Jungkook frowns.
"What did you just say?"
"... Eat the rich."
"Babe—"
"I said what I said."
