We went back to Phantasma to celebrate our union. We were having a party in the ballroom where most gatherings were held, except it looked a little different today.
Instead of its usual decor the room was now decorated with thousands of pink roses and thin white gossamer ribbons ties in bows. My employees had given Christine just what she'd asked for, when we walked in the room the band started playing and everyone's eyes flickered to us.
"Erik?
I don't like being gawked at."
I mumbled just loud enough for her to hear.
"You're not being gawked at. They're happy for us Erik. They're here to celebrate with us."
She smiled and put her hand to my cheek.
"They're our friends."
I nod and gently pecked at her lips. Everyone room clapped as I did this, and I didn't understand why. All I was doing was kissing my wife.
"Why did they clap?"
I whispered as I guided her to our table.
"I'm not sure, but it's tradition and whenever someone clinks their glass, we're supposed to kiss.
That seems a little demeaning.
I know, but it's tradition."
She sighed happily and played with my fingers as we sat down.
Just as we had gotten comfortable and shared our demeaning kiss, it was time for us to dance. Just Christine and I.
"Wait-Why wasn't I told about this I can't dance!
You can waltz, and the song I've picked is lovely for just that."
She smiled and pecked my cheek.
"What song is it?
You'll see."
She smirked as I lead her out onto the floor. I waited nervously and bowed to her. She curtsied as the music started. I smiled as a familiar tune started. A piece I had written and sung for her on the night we had first met in the flesh. Memories swirled in my head of the hypnotized look on her face that night.
"How did you?
I have my ways."
She smiled.
"When you were at work I dug through your sheet music."
I shook my head at her and smiled.
"You alone can make my song take flight..."
I whispered to her in a singsong voice.
"Help me make the music of the night."
She replied and gently pressed her lips on mine.
