We had planned for the wedding to be this weekend. Madame Giry helped Christine plan while I was working in Phantasma. Christine finally had something to be excited about. She always had a big grin plastered on her face. Speaking of the flowers she had bought and how beautiful her ring was. All I could do was be thankful that this got her out of her depression. Of course I wanted to marry her, I would never have asked her just so she'd be happy again. This was for me as well! She was finally going to be mine. Truly mine. She was wearing my ring and soon enough she'd be Madame-or Mrs. Now that we were living in America Destler. I sighed happily and got back to work. Writing plans for the upcoming show. Sets, music. One of the backup dancers was taking Meg's place. I bite my lip as I write her name on the sheet music. What do I call her?
"Ms...?"
My mind was blank. I couldn't come up with anything, after looking out my window it hit me.
"Anna Lee, The Siren of Coney Island?"
I pondered this for a moment. It didn't sound bad.
"She'll hypnotize the mind with just her voice."
I mumble.
"That will due."
I scribble her name on the music and go to find her.
"Here you are, my beauty."
I smiled as I handed it to her.
"The Siren of Coney Island?"
She grimaced.
"We need to pull them in somehow don't we? Meg was 'the Ohlala girl' and you're 'The Siren of Coney Island'!"
I told her excitedly. She sighed and went off to start practicing. I decided to call it a day and go home. There wasn't much for me to do. If sometime needed to be done, Mr.Squelch would call me or just take care of it himself. When I walked in the door Christine attacked me, crushing her lips to mine.
"Miss me?"
I asked breathlessly as I pulled away from her passionate kiss.
"I always do."
She blushed and played with the small curls at the nape of my neck.
"Well, I missed you too."
I chuckled and kissed her temple.
"I love you."
She smiled gently.
"I love you too."
