chapter 7: temporary
"We've done a lot of things already." A young lady said as she cleaned the place before smiling softly at the man standing in front of her. Hearing the words escape from her mouth, he let out a shaky breath looking at the girl in front of him.
"It's been days, you might need to wait for a little bit more. Please don't lose hope." She said before leaving the man alone inside the cold room. Hands shaking lightly he let out a sigh looking up at the ceiling to stop his tears from coming out.
For all he know, he won't be able to forgive himself if something bad happen.
"Luna!" Eli called out of her name making her snapped out of her deep thoughts. He let out a chuckle as his eyes diverted towards the young man.
"You could've told us that you didn't have a phone." His deep voice echoed around the room as he sat opposite from the young girl, legs crossed as his intimidating eyes looked at her from up and down making her nervous. Eli let out a chuckle before slightly hitting Vince's arms to lighten up the mood before diverting his attention at the nervous girl who never dared to look up to meet their eyes.
The awkwardness circled around the room making her nervous. Quietly playing with her fingers as no one dared to speak a word. Calum left the house not too long ago to take care of some matters as he got no choice but to leave the girl alone with his two friends. He can't help but grew worried as the scene earlier played in his head once again.
He should've followed his gut feelings and let her stay instead of letting her go, now that she's been hurt by probably her family he can't help but be sad for her situation. Their families knew their whereabouts and left them be, their group of friends are happy because their parents let them find their own happiness and that is by being with each other away from their family.
But on Luna's case, she got no one. Her dad often leaves her with her step mother not having any clues of his wife's wrong doings. The only thing that run through his mind is to make her happy.
"I threw it on the river.." She whispered slightly making the latter let out a sigh, Eli let out a chuckle before turning his eyes back to the fragile girl. Luna let out a sigh while playing with her fingers before looking up at the two boys. "Eli?" He gave her a smile gesturing for her to continue talking.
"I was wondering.. where were you when you and Cal saved me?" She asked making the older raised his eyebrows at her random question before looking at Vince beside him. "So sudden??" He asked before scratching the back of his head. Vince once again let out a sigh before standing up to walk towards his room.
