Bella's Pov

"Bella Grace Scott, you are hear by now, officially a member of the secret hunters program. Here is your ID and keys." The woman behind the desk said. She looked a little too young to be here but she seems nice.

"Thank you." I said as I grabbed my things. I turned around and faced my family. My mom, dad, and brother Jay.

"Let's go home." I heard my dad say. My brother and I started towards the car with our mom, Holly, and dad, Phillip, following. We all loaded into the car then started driving home. I took out my phone and texted my best friend, Caleb White.

Bella: Hey!! What's up?

😍😏Caleb: Hey, nothing much what's up?
--
Bella: Heading home from town, wanna meet me at the tree house?
--
😍😏Caleb: Sure, I'll be there!

Caleb has been my best friend since day 1. He is a taller than me, he has shaggy dirty blond hair, beautiful blue eyes and and a smile to die for. All the girls at the school say he's hottest guy in our school but I don't see that. To me, he's just my best friend.

Dad pulled up the driveway and I jumped out the door before mom or dad could say anything.

"Bella!" My mom yelled angrily towards me. I stopped running and turned around, she looked confused.

"Going to meet with Caleb!" I hollered then took off again towards the forrest behind our house. It always felt weird in here. I slowed down and started to walk quietly further into the dense forrest.

Growing up with my brother, we was taught how to track and hunt animals. Our parents showed us the best way to capture our kill and end its life very simply. They also taught us how to be fearless when we sensed danger nearby, but that doesn't keep my heart from racing so fast I feel like I'm going to puke it up from time to time.

I grab my small silver knife out of my boot, ready to attack anything that comes near me or in my dark path. I walked through the woods looking around, watching for hungry wolves or bears. I don't hear anything besides an owl through the forest. I make it to the clearing in our woods and see the tree house. I hear leaves crunch behind me and spin around to see Caleb grinning ear to ear behind a tree as if I just caught him stealing out of our cookie jar.  I smile back, trying to hide my knife behind my back so he doesn't see.

"Caleb! You scared me!" I yelled at him. I started to smile a bit when I noticed he had stepped on poison oak.

"What's that in your hand?" Caleb asked with a confused look on his face, he started to walk towards the tree house ladder.

"Oh this?" I ask holding up my knife a little, "just thought you might have been a scary bear or something!" I slipped my knife back into my boot.

He watched closely, and then started up the ladder we built for the tree house. I started up after him.
