Chapter 13

Jamie's pov

Its about 7 pm which means it's close to the switch back, I had a couple more paperwork to do and then I'm done

"hey Jamie you done a couple of us wants a drink after this" Mia says walking in

"no thank you I'm good thanks though" I smiled politely and she smiled back and said "well see you tomorrow"

After the last paperwork I was finally done

"finally" I sigh to myself

"hey Jamie" Reece said coming out of nowhere which cause me to shriek

"good God! Seriously what is the people's deal today Jesus" I said

"sorry...."

"its ok Reece everything ok?" I ask

"yeah maybe I can drive you back?"

"yeah okay I'll like that" I say and he smile

We got outside and went to his car and again he opened the door again for me and I thanked him for that, we drove for a while when I speak

"wanna get something to eat?"

"yeah let's go too McDonald's" he says and we drove there

We went to the drive through this time and got some chicken nuggets and fries

We parked at some parking lot not to far from my apartment

"Jamie?" Reece says facing him which cause me to face him too

"yeah?"

"do you think that we will change when we talk to each other"

"no Reece, I feel like this better....we got to know each other by the phone not by talking face to face, at first I felt that way too but I thought we can do this we can't just stare at our phones all the time" I say

"You have a point" he points at me

"I know this is the first time I gave advise to someone and it feels good" I say

"well that's great then" he says staring at me and I stare at back

I notice that his face was getting closer which me to lean in too, his face was centimeters away from mine and I feel his hot breath on cheek

I was closing my eyes and I saw he did too oh my God Reece is about to kiss me

But I don't feel anything on my lips then all of a sudden he spoke

"I can't..." as he opened my eyes, I feel a little hurt but I guess he wants us to be friends "oh I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that" I say turning away from him "no it's not your fault jam-" I cut him off "just take me home Reece I'm really tired" I say bluntly still not looking at him

We arrived at my place and I immediately turned to face him and said:

"Ok here's your phone" while getting it out of my pocket and holding it up he took it 

"oh right....heres yours" he say taking it out my phone in his pocket, I grabbed it and just got of his car and said a brief goodbye

I got in to my room not even bother to take off my shoes, I went to bed and just thought why didn't he kissed me?
