There he is. Addi Jumps so fast off her feet she practically trips. She runs straight to Noah and hugs him. She came at him with so much force he fell back a little bit before chuckling, "Hey Adds, missed you too." She giggles, "I can't believe you're here I missed you so much!" "We have so many new movies to watch! This one came out like a month ago! It's about this monkey..."

Addison was so busy talking to Noah she didn't notice the girl he came with. She's really pretty Dixie thought to herself as she walked up to them. She hopes the girl is not who she thinks she is. 

Addi has calmed down and Noah turns to Dixie. "Hey Dix! Long time no see!" He side hugs her. "Mhm, not long enough" she jokes, hugging back. Grunt. The three of them turn to see the girl visibly uncomfortable. Noah quickly grabs her hand, "So Addi, this is my girlfriend Nicky! Nicky, this is my sister Addi and her friend, Dixie"

Just as she thought. Noah has a girlfriend. She tried to convince herself it didn't matter, it doesn't change anything. So why was she upset?

Dixie looks at Nicky, then Noah. Her eyes meet his. He's looking at me. She quickly looks to the floor. Addi grins, "Hello Nicky! It's nice to meet you." Nicky smiles, "It's nice to meet you too." She turns to Dixie. "Oh hi, I'm Dixie." "I know, Noah just said that..." "Oh right." Awkward!

"Ok, are we ready to go!" Addison beamed, already on her way to the car. "Ye-" Dixie snaps her head to Noah. "SHOTGUN!" they both shout. Dixie had started a split second before him and he groans slightly followed by a chuckle. Dixie giggles then runs after Addison. Another inside joke. They've been in a shotgun competition since the beginning of their friendship, and now, Dixie was winning.

Noah laughs and turns to get his suitcase. "How long have you known her? Nicky asks worryingly. "Uh since like middle school or something" He knew it was longer, much longer than that but it didn't really matter. Nicky slowly nods. Noah notices something is off about Nicky, but he doesn't dangle on it. He grabs their bags and heads for the car.

He was antsy the whole plane ride here. He was excited to see his sister. They were so close before he left for college, and he was hoping nothing has changed. But he wasn't too worried about that. He was more so afraid to see Dixie, or nervoucited. Reminiscing on that memory, he smiled which eased some nerves. He couldn't figure out why he was so nervous. He wasn't nearly as nervous as last time he visited, for Christmas. Why was it different this time?

Noah puts the suitcases in the back and gets inside. Dixie's in the passenger seat (she earned it) while Noah and Nicky are in the backseats. You guys wanna listen to music?" Dixie suggests as an attempted escape from the awkwardness she felt.

"No! We should talk" Great, thanks Adds. "So Noah! How was your last semester of Freshman year!" Dixie looks at him through the mirror and they both laugh. They both knew they were thinking the same thing: Addi can be a little..much at times. "Well," he starts. "I got all A's. And I did well in all my soccer games. Blake and I have the most goals scored out of the whole team! I'm trying to beat the record of most goals scored by one player at Berkely." Dixie chimes in with "Woah, those are some big cleats to fill." He smirks at her joke, then continues.

While Noah shares, Dixie glances at Nicky to see her glaring. What did she do? Dixie is usually very confident and outgoing, yet she got so nervous around Nicky. She hoped it was just a bad first impression and that things would quickly turn around. Maybe they could even be friends! "I mean, that's pretty much all" It's silent for a few minutes. Dixie looks at Noah, then Addi. She rolls her eyes smirking, and turns on the radio. Everyone chuckles, releasing some of the noticeable tension.

The rest of the car ride wasn't too bad for Dixie. They talked a bit here and there, but mostly just listened to the music.

Addison pulls into the driveway and Noah brings the suitcases inside. "Welcome back home!" Addi yells! "I made cupcakes!" "Yum!" Noah runs to the kitchen, everyone following behind him. They all grab a cupcake and sit at the table.

"So" Addi grinned, "I thought we could order some pizza, watch a movie, and get to know Nicky!" Noah smiles, "I like that idea." Nicky smiles genuinely. "When are you guys leaving?" Dixie asks. "Well, Nicky goes back in a week or so." He turns to Addi, "Mom and Dad said she could stay here. And then, uh, I'm here all summer!" Addi squeals, "Yay!"

They finish their cupcakes and while Noah gives Nicky a tour of the house, Dixie chats with Addison. "So what do you think of Nicky?" Addison thinks for a moment. "She seems nice, but she's pretty quiet." Dixie agrees, "I kinda feel like she doesn't like me" Addison looks at her, puzzled. "What? Why wouldn't she like you?" "Idk I'm just getting that vibe" Noah peeks around the corner. "We're just gonna chill in my room for a little. Let me know when the pizza's here" He goes back upstairs.

An hour later

Dixie and Addison were chilling on the couch when Addison suddenly groans. "Ugh! Hey, Dix can you go get me my charger from Noah's room?" She turns to her, slightly confused. "Um ok." Dixie rolls off the couch and walks to Noah's room. "Why is her charger in his room, and why can't she get it?!"  She opens the door without thinking. "Oh sorry!" She quickly turns away. 

"It's okay," Noah chuckles. "Come in" "Uh I just came to get Addi's charger" She sees Noah (shirtless) and Nicky cuddling in his bed watching something on the TV. "Oh yeah it's right over there" Noah points to his desk. Dixie starts to walk toward the charger and catches Nicky rolling her eyes. She frowns, picking up the charger. "Thanks," she starts to head out but is interrupted. 'Jeez ever heard of knocking" Nicky scoffs, quietly enough to make Dixie think she wasn't supposed to hear it. "Dixie looks at her sadly, "Oh sorry I jus-" Noah interrupts her, "Dix it's fine. Go tell Adds to find a movie, we'll be down there soon!" He smiles at her reassuringly. She smiles lightly and walks out to the living room.

Noah turns to Nicky with a slight annoyance in his voice. "What was that for?" "She needs to learn to knock!" He rolls his eyes. "I'm sure she knows how to knock Nicky, she probably just forgot. And that still doesn't mean you can be mean to her." "Why are you sticking up for her!" "Because! she's like a sister to me." Nicky mumbles, "She doesn't see it like that.' "What?" "Oh come on Noah, you guys were so acting so close at the airport-" "We're friends!-" "She totally likes you!" Noah furrows his brow preparing to say something.

Just then, Addison knocks and swings open the door, "Hey so I decided on..." her voice trails off. "You guys okay?" She couldn't have heard them. They hadn't risen their voices, just bickered back and forth in a frustrated tone. They mumble and Addison continues. "Yeah well I picked a movie, the pizza will be here in half an hour,  come out or we're starting without you." She skips away and they slowly follow.
