September 6th (Last day of Summer)

This was it. Today was the day Noah would be leaving for college. He had spent the night, so when Dixie woke up she stayed in bed watching him and became sad. She was going to miss him so much and it was beginning to hit her hard, but she knew she still hadn't really realized what it was going to be like.

She wasn't tired, but she had no interest in leaving Noah, so she cuddled back up to him and closed her eyes. She felt his warm body cling onto her as he stayed sleeping, and she couldn't help but smile at how peaceful they were together. Yet it was bittersweet because she knew this would be the last time she'd wake up next to him for many weeks.

Not even 5 minutes later Charli bursts through the door, "Dixie get your butt out of- Ohh Noah!" Dixie whispered to Charli, clearly angered with her. "Shh! He's sleeping!" Charli rolled her eyes, "Breakfast is ready. And Dad's gonna kill you." Dixie gave her a death stare and she finally left. She didn't want to make Dixie feel too bad, because she knew today was going to be hard for her.

Dixie looked back at Noah and smiled. She got up and began getting ready. She tried not to wake him but he was up himself within minutes and got ready too. He sat on his bed and just watched as Dixie did her makeup. She saw him out of the corner of her eye and sadly met his eyes. They just smiled at each other, the pain and longingness in their eyes showing through.

"I love you." Noah smiled at her, "I love you more."

The Beck and D'Amelio family spent the whole day together. The D'Amelio's and Noah had breakfast and then met Addison and her parents at the beach. They spent the whole day there, Charli and Addison played joyfully in the sand and waves. But Dixie and Noah just stayed laying in the sand, they tanned with their arms linked. They held each other, Dixie laid on his chest while Noah played with her hair.

Charli and Addison watched them from the ocean. They talked to each other about them all the time, they didn't usually like it when they were so affectionate. But this time they thought it was sweet and they felt bad knowing how much Dixie would miss him when he left. "How are you doing" Addison sighed, "Ok I guess, I'm just kind of sad we won't be together on our Birthday. I mean it's the first time ever. I just hope him going to college so far away doesn't ruin how close we are..."

Noah and Addison had always had a joint birthday party, and it was always on their exact birthday (October 17th) no matter what day of the week it fell on. It was a tradition, but this year Noah would be 5 hours away and that made Addison really sad.

They all still had time to go out to dinner before they had to head to the airport. They went to a nice restaurant and had a lovely time. Still, Dixie and Noah didn't separate and instead held hands the entire dinner. Their parents couldn't see as they kept them under the table, but it was obvious to everyone due to their lack of ever using two hands to eat or grab something.

They arrived at the airport and everyone slowly got out of the car and inside. After the tedious process of making their way through security, everyone made it to Noah's gate. He began saying goodbye to everybody, saving the hardest goodbyes for last. He started with Charli and her parents. Then said goodbye to his parents. They weren't taking it too hard, they had to do this before and they knew they'd have to do it again. He finished hugging his mom and turned to see Addison.

She had tears in her eyes but was trying not to show it. Even in the sad times, Addison found a way to stay positive and look on the bright side. She would get to see Noah at Thanksgiving and that was better than never again. But she was still sad and hugged Noah tight. "I wish you could be here for our Birthday!" Noah hugged her tightly and spoke sweetly, "I know, I'm sorry. But it will be okay, Addi. I still love you." Addison lightly chuckled and assured him she loved him too,
