"Do I know you?"

It has been over a month since the food fight, since I had kissed Aiden in the school hallways in front of the whole damn school, since I had asked him to be mine, my boyfriend. It was all going good and I couldn't be more happier. Yes, I did miss my parents and my brother, but I have also come to accept the fact that nothing would ever be the same as before and it's time for me to move on.
School had just finished and Aiden and I were headed over to his home. I had promised that little ball of sunshine that I would meet her again but I didn't manage to do so. Hence why I was sitting in Aiden's car whilst he was driving us towards his house.
It was while sitting in his car did I realize I didn't know much about him. I mean the last time I had been to his home his mom wasn't there. When I had asked him about his dad he simply said that he hadn't seen him in years and that he missed him very much. I also remember him telling he had an elder brother who lived with his dad. From what he has told me I knew that he loved his family. So my question is, where are they?
"Can I ask you something?" I break the silence between us.
"Sure."
"Where are your parents?" As soon as I had asked him he got tensed.
"My mom lives with my sister and me while my dad and brother live elsewhere." He answers vaguely.
"If you don't mind me asking, why do you live separately? I mean I remember you saying they weren't divorced or anything."
He lets out a sigh but answers eventually.
"My dad is involved in some illegal business, my brother too. So for obvious safety reasons we live separately." He struggles out.
I understood that it wasn't a topic he enjoyed discussing so I just left it at that.
We soon reached his house and he parked his car. As soon as I stepped out the car I was smashed back into the car door with a weight up till my torso.
"Airy!" The little ball of sunshine yells as she continues to hug me.
"Lily! Give the poor girl some time to breath." A vaguely familiar voice yells from inside the house.
Soon who ever it was immediately runs out the door. Her face was so got damn familiar. Those eyes were a color I would never forget. Yet I couldn't remember where and how I had known this woman. Unbeknownst to me, I had shifted Lily aside and walked over to the woman with Aiden right alongside me.
"Do I know you? You seem so goddamn familiar. And those eyes, they are just like his." I finally let out.
"Yes you do. You just don't remember." She tells with a smile that says she knows something none of us here do.
"She does? How?" Aiden asks.
"All in due time kids. Now get inside, there is some delicious dessert waiting."
And just like that both Lily and Aiden drag me inside together and into the kitchen. We had all settled on the couch with Frozen playing. Lily just loved this movie too much to be watching it for the tenth time now. Aiden's mom had gone somewhere out. I had learnt her name was Davina. Her name sounded even more familiar but I just let it be.
During the middle of the movie I had gotten a call from an unknown number. Curious as to who it was, I excuse myself and go out into the garden.
"Hello." I answer as I lift the call.
"Mom!" A very familiar voice yells out.
"What the fuck Justin? Now what trouble did you get yourself into?" I ask him.
It was a code of ours. If we ever called the other and immediately yelled out mom or dad depending on who was trying to save who it means the other was in trouble and needed an elder's presence. We even had fake IDs prepared for these situations.
"I'm at the police station. They are not going to allow me out unless you come and talk to them."
"What did you do?" I ask him exhausted. I was too damn sleepy for this.
"Well, it's a Friday night which means partying. But I got into a fight and hence why I landed myself here. I swear I didn't get into a fight with no reason. I was fighting for a girl's honor." He grumbles into the phone.
"Fine, I'll be there tomorrow."
"What do you mean tomorrow Aira? Come here right now." He yells into the phone.
"You know it is quite dark outside, don't you?"
"I also quite know you are with that kid. Ask him to drive you here. It's just a two hour drive. Come on now Aira. Please." I very well knew the kid he was referring to was Aiden but just decided to ignore him.
"Oh honey, you are to suffer in there for at least one night. You think I don't know that you had a hand in beating up all those poor guys, some of who you clearly knew I didn't sleep with." I reply with a smirk on my lips.
"Fuck you Aira. You're not getting away with this." He yells.
"Whatever son, see you tomorrow." I chirp into the phone and cut the call without waiting for any reply from him.
I turn around to head inside with a victorious grin on my face only to see Aiden sporting an extremely confused look on his face. God! He looks so damn cute.
"Son?" He asks.
"It was just Justin asking to come and get him out the police station. But I will only leave tomorrow morning after a nice good night's sleep in my very comfy bed." I say winking at him.
"Remind me to never get on your bad side." He chuckles.
Just like that we go over to the couch to continue watching the movie only to find Lily asleep on the couch. She was snuggling into her Frozen themed blanket with her mouth slightly open. It was such cute sight, so I immediately clicked a photo of her.
"Let's get her to bed." Aiden chuckles as he lifts her up into his arms and carries her up to her room.
He lays her down while I cover her properly with her blanket while letting out a small yawn.
"Drop me home Aiden." I tell him drowsily.
"Why don't you rest right here and we can go over to your brother together tomorrow." He suggests.
As tempting as his offer seems, I decline.
"Nah. I'm going to go alone. And you need to spend some time with your mother and sister babe."
He reluctantly agrees and drops me home while placing a small kiss on my forehead.
"Goodnight princess." He says softly.
"Night babe."
With that I get out and go inside my very lonely mansion. I could hear his car zooming off as I reached my bedroom. Without another thought, I shower and get myself to bed.
