"See that, we are so meant to be!"
A I R A
It was the day that Aiden told more like demanded going on a date. I had no idea as to what he had planned. He simply told me to dress casual so I decided to wear a black dress with a faded blue denim jacket and white block-heeled boots. I curl my hear into beach waves and apply lip gloss. Satisfied with my look I head downstairs.
Aira's outfit
It was almost time and I knew he would be here any moment. Just as that thought processed the doorbell rang. I walk over to open the door and there he was dressed in a black t-shirt and faded blue jeans.
The fuck! We were fucking matching! I scowl at him for his choice of clothing while his smirk only got wider.
"We are matching!"
"And I'm not really happy about it." I grumble.
"See that, we are so meant to be!" He says, completely disregarding what I just said.
Mum and dad weren't at home as they had gone onto another business trip or something. Ever since that dreadful all they seem to do is go on business trips. It was like they hadn't just lost their son that night but their other two children too. Not wanting this date to start with gloomy, depressed thoughts I push them back and take Aiden's hand.
"So where are we going?" I ask him as he starts driving.
He doesn't bother replying. It was then I started to notice how rigid and tense his posture was.
"Is every thing alright?" I ask him placing my hand on the back of his free hand.
"I..I...." He struggles.
"Just spit out Aiden."
"Since the first time we have met all we do is keep fighting. After yesterday which was the first time we have had a normal conversation and I don't want anything ever ruining what we started. There is something you should know about me and it's better you know it from me rather than someone else." He says almost nervously. I have never seen this version of him.
"Alright. I'm listening." I say softly all the while rubbing gentle circles across his knuckles.
"Iamastreetracer.Istreetrace." He hurriedly says.
"I'm sorry Aiden. I know I am not normal but I seriously don't understand whatever language you are speaking in." With humor in my voice.
"I street race okay."
"Was this what you are so worried about? You realize I am a street fighter right. And that equally as dangerous or more even. And it's not like you are the first one I know that street races." I still don't understand why this got him so nervous.
"Oh yes. How can I forget Ryder." He says his voice full of distaste.
"Hey! If it makes you feel any better, I have never been there before. You are the first one to bring me."
"Really? Why is that so hard to believe?" He asks skeptically.
"That's becuase you're an ass Aiden. Now, tell me how much longer till we reach there. I'm assuming it is where we are going." I tell him while rolling my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me. And yes, that's where we are headed to."
The rest of the ride is filled with a comfortable silence. My thigh in his strong yet gentle hold. It doesn't take long for us to reach and I immediately get out to check out the area. I have never been here before though Ryder raced here. Don't ask me why cause I myself don't know.
I was now genuinely excited and did not in the slightest regret saying yes to this date. It's not like I really had a choice in the first place. This was not exactly a place for a normal date but since when were we ever normal anyway.
"Do I get to sit next to you while you race!?" I ask him as he joins me by my side and we walk around together while I take in the whole scene.
He looks as if he is contemplating all the pros and cons of me gettimg in his car while he is racing. Based on his dragged silence, I think I already know the answer. And I'll be damned if I just sat on the sidelines and watch.
"If I'm not getting into your car Ima just gonna walk my ass outta here and get back here in my damn car to fuckin race. And you know I don't talk shit I don't do." I threaten him. More like blackmail him.
"You have a very bad sense of direction princess. I am one hundred percent sure you won't be reaching him today and would be calling for help within half an hour of you walking." He says with an amused twinkle in his eyes.
"Fine. It's not like any one of those racers wouldn't invite me in if I just asked. I mean who would deny all this." I say gesturing to myself with a smug smile.
As I turned to walk away he swiftly grabbed my waist and dragged me back to his car.
"Alright alright. You can sit with me." He says grumpily.
"Awww... don't need to beg me so much. I'll join you, you have nothing to worry about." I say merrily.
"Get your cute little ass back into the car before I do something I sure as hell won't be regretting but I wouldn't be saying the same on your behalf."
"Whatever." I grumble and get in.
He starts driving towards the starting line. As he reaches, he stops the car and turns towards me.
"I'm gonna be back in a few. Don't get out if this car until I say so." He orders.
"I'm not your bitch you order around Aiden." I say narrowing my eyes.
"Really Aira? I'm just saying so for your own safety."
"Need I remind you that I'm a goddamn street fighter? I'm pretty sure I can take on anyone here." I say smirking.
"I don't think so princess, unless you would want to flash yourself of course." He says smugly as though he has won the argument, which he actually has.
And of course I had to wear a damn dress tonight.
"Fine. Come back fast."
"Sure princess." With that he gives me a bright panty-dropping smile and walks away.
Damnit! Why did he have to be so damn alluring, hot and sexy yet at the same time annoying and irritating.
