I walked out to the sidewalk of my apartment, waiting for Ross. I looked at my phone to see the time. 8:45, why does he want to meet me so late? Then a car pulled up next to me.
"Hey little girl. Want a ride?" Ross said looking out the window.
"I don't know. My mom told me not to get in cars with random strangers."
"But I have candy."
"Oh, you should have said that in the first place." I said as I open the passenger side door. "So, where are we going?"
"Well, I'm taking you to dinner then a beach bonfire."
"Oh, fun." I said buckling up. Let's just say the ride to the beach side restaurant was...a trip. If you had to choose between walking or riding with Ross, you should chose walking. Anyway the dinner was fun and we walked to the bonfire afterwards. The others Lynchs were there with their friends whom I've never meet. We all just sat in a circle and talked. It got to the point where Rocky got his guitar and everyone started singing. It went around the circle and when it got to me I panicked.
"No, no, no. I can't."
"Come on Madi. You're a really good singer." Rydel called from across the pit.
A chorus of comes on and you got this arose. Ross leaned in.
"I can sing with you if you want." I nodded, "Okay what song?"
"Um Teenage Dream by Katy Perry?" He smiled and got Rocky to pass the guitar. He started off with the cords and I went in. We harmonized really well for never sing together before. Everyone one loved it apparently and so me and Ross did another one for his turn. Everyone started leaving and me and Ross desided to walk down the beach.
"So, did you have fun?"
"Well, the singing was a little weird but fun."
"Good."
"The moon looks beautiful tonight. It's the snow moon."
"Yeah, beautiful."
I look over and he's starting at me and starts leaning.
"Wait, you're really going to lead in with that line? That's so cheesy."
"What?" He said laughing.
"I say it's beautiful and you agree but at you were looking at me with those eyes."
"What eyes?"
"Oh, you know the eyes I'm talking about. That's not how you should kiss a girl."
"Oh, when what am I supposed to do?"
"Okay, I will teach you."
"Oh, okay."
"First, you should walk up to her,"
He took a step closer to me. "Like this?"
"The you should push some of her hair behind her ear."
The pushed my hair back, "Noted."
"Then run your hand from her ear along her jawline and under her chin, place your pointer finger under her chin and your thumb on her chin."
"Next."
"Look from her eyes to her lips back to eyes."
"Mmhmm." He smiled.
"And then..." We leaned in.
