Things are looking up

I awoke to a banging on my door. I walk to the door and open it.

"Rydel, what the heck?"

She grabs my arm and starts to pull me. "Come on, let's go."

"What? Where? What is happening? I'm not even ready."

"What do you mean? Didn't you get my text?"

"No, I just woke up because I like to do something really fun called sleep. You should try it some time."

"Ha ha you're so funny. But, the boys wanted to go on an adventure day and I don't want to be the only girl and since we all like you, some more than others, cough cough Ross, you are the obvious choice."

"Okay, let me throw something on and by the way the cough is suppose to cover the name."

"No, watch How I Met Your Mother, It's going to be the new thing."

I rolled my eyes and walked into my bedroom. I grabbed my blue Lucky Brand swimsuit and a pair of high waisted shorts as well as a Brandy Melville crop top and threw them on. I walked back into the living room and grabbed my dark gray vans.

"Should I bring my bag?" I say from the bathroom with a mouth full of toothpaste.

"Nah, Ross will probably buy anything for you if we go somewhere."

I put on my shoes and grabbed some SmartWaters for me and Rydel and headed down to the parking lot, where Rocky was currently trying to get the number of my neighbor, Jaden, at the bottom of the stairs. Riker saw us and honked for Rocky to come back. He winked at her and went back to the van.

"Sorry bout him, Jaden. Hard to keep him off women." I said as me and Rydel walked to the bottom of the stairway.

"It's fine. Can you give this to him." She hands me a piece of paper.

"Really? Not, that he's not a great guy but...really?"

"Yeah, he made an impression." She waved and walked away. I walked back to the van and greeted everyone and handed Rocky the paper as I sat down with Ross in the middle section.

"Well Madi, I'm flattered but my little brother as already called dibs and-"

"It's not my number idiot," I said hitting his shoulder playfully. "It's Jaden's, plus you already have my number and," I looked at Ross "Dibs? Really? Am I the last slice of pizza?"

"No, that's not what I-" He said flustered.

"I'm joking Shor. Calm down." I laughed and bummed his shoulder with mine and he did it back to me.

"Hey." I said looking at his smiling.

"Hey." he said then kissed my nose.

"Ew, no PDA. Gosh, my best friend and little brother. I'm going to be sick."

"Shut up Rydel!" Ross said. Then, he looked and me and held out his hand which I gladly took. We went to someplace call the Wayfarers chapel first, it was really cool, it was made out of stained glass. Second, we went to the Shipwreck hike, we walked to this old shipwreck where Ross and Ellington promptly reenact the scene from The Little Mermaid which me and Rydel videoed to put on their YouTube page later.
Then we went to the old LA zoo and walked around. At one point we lost Ross and Riker, so we had to find them. As we walked Rocky told us to stop in front of this cage. He told me to stand next to him and for Rydel and Ellington to film. So Rydel filmed and Rocky told "scary ghost stories" about the mad zoo keeper that went made and murdered unsuspecting Zoo goers. Then, something grabbed me from behind and pulled me in. I screamed and panicked so I elbowed whatever grabbed me in the gut. I turned around and it was Riker lying on the ground with Ross practicality crying from laughing so hard. Rydel walked in still filming.

"What happened?"

"OH MY GOD RIKER! I'm sorry, he scared me and when I get scared I attack." I say as I try to pick up Riker. I hugged him as he look to the camera finally regaining his breath.

"Don't ever scare her or you might not ever have kids. Ow."

"I'm sorry, at least your abs took some of the blow."

He lifted up his shirt. "Yeah, they are pretty great." I pulled it back down and rolled my eyes at the camera. We headed back to the van.We decided to go get some dinner because we had stayed out all day. I pulled out my phone at the restaurant to text my sisters but then I saw something weird.

"Delly, look at this." I passed her my phone.

"Oh my god. You have five bars and on 85℅ what kind of magic phone do you have?"

"Haha no. My Twitter is blowing up."

"Mine too." Ross said. "Someone filmed our duet and posted it on YouTube. Apparently, 'we are good' and 'OMFingG I ship them so hard' are very common comments."

"Well that's new." I said looking at Ross.

"No, I've shipped you guys for a long time." Ellington said.

"Maybe you should start a music channel to Mads." Riker said.

"You know what," I take a sip of my drink. "Maybe I will."
