**Intrise P.O.V**

I took a deep breath to start and was about to break the silence when Maya beat me to it.
"Intrise, I was just in shock when she said all those things. I really wanted to defend you and I was-"

"MayaIt's okay. I need to stand up for myself and show them that I'm not as weak as I look. I shouldn't always depend upon you guys to protect me from life. I have to be strong for myself. ", I interrupted her, my voice barely above a whisper.

She stopped talking and looked at me, her eyes full of tears.
"I'm sorry." , she said, and walked over towards me and fell into my arms, sobbing.
I hugged her back, comforting her the best I could and blinking back my tears.

After a while, she stopped sobbing, walked over to the basin and washed her face, and cleaned away almost all signs of her crying.

"You are right" she smiled. "We must be strong. "
I smiled back at her, unsure of something in her eyes.

"Now young lady," she started to get all business like, folding her arms. "What happened this afternoon before you went to that date with Justin?"

"It was nothing much, Maya, I just remembered tha- HEY IT WAS NOT A DATE!!"

Maya burst out giggling. I glared at her.
"Are you suuuuureeeeeee????????" She sang along.

I punched her arm gently and she started giggling harder. Though I wanted to glare at her, I couldn't help but smile.
Maybe things can go normally for me once.

* Next day, lunch, the canteen/dining hall*

We were just laughing at a joke Xavier said. Maya was holding on to Xavier for her deer life, Connor was on the floor, and Stan was almost choking of laughter. I was in a fit of helpless giggles. The rest of the group had apollogized to me, though I waved their apologies aside.

We had loads of fun. We also might or might not have bunker all classes. Might or might not  😆

Filch had chased us down the hall way, we sock skated in the dance auditorium and watched as Justin, Connor and Stan recorded a few songs.

The only drawback was that whenever Justin and I had any sort of eye contact, he would quickly look away. It hurt a bit, but I ignored it.

Everything counted for, it was one of the best days in my life.
