Chapter 7 - The "Date"

Intrise P.O.V

He looked gorgeous. His brown eyes were so deep, you could probably stare in them forever, lost in their beauty. I smiled at him.

"Movie?" I asked.

He smiled.

"You know me."

We watched 'The Burning Maze' and cried over Jason's death together. That got us talking about Riordanverse, Uncle Rick, Greek mythology, parallels, etc.

We talked for hours and hours until it was about 9 pm.

Suddenly, I caught Justin staring at me. He blushed ( and I'm pretty sure so did I ) and,"Come on, I have one last surprise for you."

He blindfolded me and guided me through the way. I could get that we were going upstairs, but I had no idea why.

I hear a door open and felt the fresh night air hit me. I took in deep breaths and felt Justin pushing me forward.

He then guided me to the seemingly middle of the roof and then stopped.
"Close your eyes", he said.
"Doesn't change much, does it, taking that I'm already blindfolded?"

"I'm going to open them now, so be a good girl."

I snorted at that.

I felt the blindfold being taken off, and Justin lifted my chin up from behind me.

"Open your eyes." He whispered into my ear. I could feel hid breath on my neck, and the butterflies on my stomach were exploding.

I opened my eyes to find the most beautiful starlit sky I had ever seen. All the constellations were clearly visible, and it was amazing. I stared at it for what felt like hours. I heard the voice in my head, which always asked me to go see the stars, sigh in satisfaction.

"It's-it's so beautiful." I gasped.

I heard a chuckle and turned around to find Justin right behind me. I caught my breath. He noticed our small gap and stepped back, blushing.

"So, um, Trise. Err, I just wanted to say, that, I'm..err. I'M SORRY FOR TODAY!"

I smiled.

"It's okay, Justin. I've forgiven you." I said.

He smiled and laughed in relief.

"Good lords, I'd thought you won't forgive me!" he lifted me up by my waist and spun me around once.

I gave a whoop of joy. He put me down, and we noticed how close we were. Our chests were touching, and our heads were bent towards each other. Our eyes connected, and we held eye contact for some time. I could feel my heartbeats go faster.

We both leaned closer, almost unconsciously, when suddenly we heard a loud crash, and the moment was gone.

Both of us rushed towards the banisters, my cheeks red. Before I could see anything, I heard a raspy voice swearing.

"KIDS OUT OF THEIR ROOMS!!!! NOT IN DINNER!!! NOT IN CANTEEN!!!" the same irritating voice of our caretaker, Mr. Filch, bellowed out. Justin and I took one loom at each other and rushed away.

As we ran, our hands found their way to each other, and we held on to each other all the way to my dorm.

When we reached, we were panting, but smiling.

"That was quite a run, eh?" Justin panted.

"You don't say, J, you don't say."

We smiled at each other, and noticing our entwined hands, blushed and let go.

"It was fun. Let's do it again sometime?" he asked.

I could feel the heat rising up to my cheeks AGAIN.

"Sure."

"Well then, good night, Trise." He gave his adorable smile.

"Good night, Jay."

He smiled at me, then caught me by surprise by leaning in and kissing my cheeks. He turned around and then walked away.

I stood there, blushing red for what felt like forever. I was so shaken.

Shaking my head, I turned and entered my dorm, red enough to rival a tomato, and happiest in all my years.

But I forgot the awkward class, and that my dormmate was present there too. I closed the door and was about to go to my room only to find Maya on the couch, staring at me with remorse in her eyes.

"Well", I thought, "Here comes more drama. Let's get ready for it."
