Dante
We head back the house to speak with Callie. When we arrive in our room she's not there. Dameon notices the lights broken in the bathroom. Something is off. I see what I thought was the note we left for Callie. However, on closer inspection it's addressed to us. When I read it, I lose it. "We have to go. He's got her." Dameon grabs the note from my hand and reads it. "Let's go!"
We transport to our father's den. He's still behind his desk looking a little bewildered. I notice he's looking at the photo of Deava. I can't imagine what he must feel. We all thought she was dead, and to find out she's been alive the last 20 years is a stab to the heart. We could have tried to rescue her had we known. Just another thing that our uncle has managed to destroy. If our uncle succeeds in taking Callie, we will lose everything. My brother and I will be striped of our powers and banished, left to fight the Guardians without anything. A death sentence for us. "Father, Ivan has her and he's assembled the council." Dameon is about to speak when our father looks up at us. His eyes are completely black. This has only happened once before, and that was when he lost our mother. Hell was in shambles for years after her death. Our father never forgave himself for what happened. Our mother was one of the most beautiful women I've ever known. She was the polar opposite to our father; it was the perfect marriage. They were perfect for each other, just as Callie is perfect for Dameon and I. Mother was killed by an attack by the Elder Guardians. Only the most powerful of angels could have taken her out. We still to this day have no idea who did it. When we found our mother, she was already dead. Left as a message to us that we are not untouchable.
Levi stood up and looked between us. "My brother has gone too far this time. This ends now or I will end him." We transport to the council chamber and burst through the doors. Our sweet Princess stood in the middle of the chamber scared and teary eyed. She tried to run to us but our uncle grabs her and pulls her to him. "You are too late. She's mine, my dear sweet nephews. You lose this time." He shows us the contract briefly before he wraps it up and puts it away. When he tries to kiss her, she slaps him so hard he flies into the wall. Her powers are growing and will overtake her if we don't show her how to harness them. "You will regret your decision to try me. I might have to marry you but you will never touch me again. Do you understand?" He gets up and tries to strike Callie when my father steps in front of her and tosses my uncle onto the ground. Our father towers over Ivan as he lays on the ground. "You will void the contract." Ivan sneers back at our father. "Never! She belongs to me!" Our father lifts him from the ground without touching him. Ivan is levitating in the air. "If you don't void it, I won't gift her, her power. You won't be able to marry her." Ivan was never one to bow to our father and it appeared he wouldn't start now. "Just because you are King doesn't mean we all have to bow at your feet and kiss the ground you walk on, dear brother. I will never void it. If I can't have her, neither can your sons. As long as her soul is mine, she will never be theirs and the prophecy they are to fulfill will go up in ashes, just as Hell will. Let me marry her and we can make Hell better than ever." Callie came to stand next to us and glared up at Ivan, still suspended in midair. "Not so fast husband to be."
We all turn to look at her. Levi drops Ivan to the ground with a loud thud. She's wearing a shit ass grin and I can only hope she has something up her sleeve. "You apparently aren't very good at your job. When I was announced they said my formal name was Callie Parker. Is that correct Ivan?" He's rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, and your point being?" She clasps her hands together and lets out the most devious laugh I have ever heard. "You may want to look at your contract, dear husband to be." She says it with such distaste. He looks at the contract and screams. The whole room shakes. Ivan gets up, his eyes red and his body is shaking. He lunges at Callie. We pull him away from her. "You sneaky little bitch! Callie Cloud! You used your mother's name." She crossed her arms over her chest and stared at him defiantly. "I was never yours. If that contract was supposed to bind us, then the note I wrote to Dante and Dameon should count as I pledged them my heart and soul and signed it." I quickly looked in my pockets for the note. "Dameon, do you have it? The note?" Dameon searches through his pockets and pulls it out. "Yeah, here." He hands it to our father. Our father takes it, reads it and grins. When he turns to Ivan, he gives him a devilish smile. "It appears dear brother, even if she had signed your contract with her given name, her soul had already unbeknownst to her been given to Dante and Dameon." Ivan sneered. "She would have had to use a blood pen for it to be binding." Callie looks at us confused. "What's a blood pen?" I reached for her hand and brought it up to my lips kissing it. "It's a pen that pricks your finger and draws your blood when you sign the contracts. It's how the contracts are made binding. The blood of a person is the binding of their soul to us." Dameon took the note from our father. "When you wrote this note you used one. 'My dear Princes', I'm with Ivan in route to meet the council members. I want you both to know that I miss you already and I love you both so much. You two own my heart and soul forever. Yours always and forever, Callie Parker.' You said we owned your heart and soul. By saying that and signing your name you gave us your soul. Callie, you don't have to marry Ivan." Her eyes went wide, and she started to cry and collapsed on the floor. "Is that why I felt a prick when I used the pen?" I kneeled to her and took her face in my hands, wiping away the tears. " I handed her the note she wrote professing her love and inadvertently her soul to us. I kissed her hand as she gave me a half smile. Ivan fought against my brother and father. "I will make you pay, Princess." She stood with my help. Her hands fisted as she glared at my uncle. "No, it is I who will make you pay. You killed my mother. You took her from me." The room starts to shake, and the lights burst. Callie's eyes are bright red as she throws all her power she can muster at Ivan. He hits the wall with such force he's knocked out. Callie collapses on the floor. I run to her aid and hold her in my arms as she passes out.
Our father looks at her on the ground. "Take her to the house. She needs rest after that. Until I can gift her, her powers will drain her every time." I nod to him. "Yes father." Dameon leans down and lifts her in his arms. We're about to leave when Garrett stops us. "Majesties, she's to be gifted Wrath." Dameon looks down at her asleep in his arms. "That's a top tiered demon power, she's only half. It's unheard of..." Garrett holds his hand up. "You saw her. She's to be gifted the power of Wrath. The power of a Queen. Make sure you see Keeva. She will explain some things. She's more special than any of you realize." He turns and vanishes. Our father turns to us. "Take her home and make sure she rests. I'll take care of him." He motions back to his brother laying on the floor unconscious.
We nod to our father and transport to our home in Hell. Now that her soul is bound to us, she is permitted to stay here. We lay her on the bed and strip her of the dress. I grab one of my shirts and with Dameon's help dress her. He pulls the covers over her. She was so depleted that she didn't even wake up. We left the room and called for Zane. Zane appears in our sitting room. "Yes, majesties." He looks between us with a curious eye. "Stand watch over her. We have some preparations to do. If you notice she is struggling in her sleep alert us immediately." I grab my jacket and leave the room. I can hear Dameon speaking to our cousin. "She will be your Queen soon. Protect her with your life. Do you understand?" He nods as Dameon leaves the room and meets me in our den. I unlock the safe where we store our contracts. I pull out Callie's and attach her note to it. Dameon takes out two others and places them on the desk. We look at each other. "You know this is unheard of. A pure-blooded demon has never signed their soul to another." I grab the pens and hand the other to my brother. "I'm aware. It only seems the right thing to do. It will only strengthen our bond to each other."
We knock our pens together before we sign the contracts. Now we three, are bound body and soul. Our triad is complete.
