Callie
Dameon had just arrived at my destroyed house. I know I caused it, but it was Eric's fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Dameon is looking me over like I'm a delicate flower that will wilt before him as he inspects my body with all my cuts and scrapes. I leaned up and kissed him. I needed him to know I was ok, and even with me telling him I was fine, he needed that level of reassurance. He wrapped me in his arms tight. Feeling safe in his embrace. How was that possible? How could I feel so secure and safe in the arms of two men I knew absolutely nothing about?
Dante had said they wanted me to be their Queen. Queen of what I wasn't sure, however, I planned on finding out. I think it's time to hear them out and get some much needed answers. I pull away from Dameon. "Okay, sit down. I have questions and you two have the answers and I'll give you the answer to what you want. Deal?" They nod.
We move inside and walk past my destroyed kitchen. That's gonna be a bitch to clean up later. I sigh to myself. Why did I do that? How did I let Eric get to me and make me feel so, so pissed? I shake it off and we sit down in my living room. Dante sits on the table in front of me and takes my hand in his. "Okay, Princess. We're all yours." Dameon sits next to him doing the same with my other hand. "So why do you want me so badly? What is so special about me?" They look at each other, like they are speaking to each other with a look and then nod to each other. Must be a twin thing.
Dante takes a deep breath and stares deep into my eyes. "We need you to secure the throne. Our uncle placed a clause in our ability to rule when our father steps down. Have you ever wondered who your parents were?" She starts to tear up. "My parents were killed, but they were good people. I..." Dameon squeezes my hand. "Not your adoptive parents, your birth parents?" I look at them both with a quizzical look on my face. How could they know I was adopted? "How?" Dante gives me a sly grin. "Just answer it, please Callie?" I pull my hands from them and run my hands through my hair and lay back against the couch. Tears threatening to fall. "No. They didn't want me. How do you give up your child? How do you live with yourself?" Dante leans forward and grabs both my hands in his. "They did it to protect you. You were right about one thing though. They were killed, but not in a plane crash. They were killed by..." Before he could finish there is a knock at the door. Dameon got up to answer it. A tall, muscular man in a black fitted suit walked through the front door. He looks at Dameon and Dante. "Majesties, you are needed at home. Your father needs to speak to you immediately. Says it's urgent." Dante and Dameon look at each other and shake their heads in frustration. Dameon turns to the man. "Zane, can it wait?" He shakes his head. The brothers sigh. Dante pulls me up and takes me to meet the man they called Zane. "Callie, this is Zane. He's our father's aide, and our cousin. Zane, this is Callie." Zane reaches out his hand and I do the same, but instead of shaking it he brings it to his lips and kisses the back of it. "Nice to meet you, Callie." I blush. Are all the men where they are from all gorgeous? Dameon pulls Zane away from me and glares at him. "Princess, we have to see what our father needs. We promise we will be back to finish this." I sigh. Why do all the men I meet lately seem to all be hiding something. "Okay, I have to work tonight anyway." I say trying to hide the hurt in my voice. Dante comes up to me and lifts my chin to look at him. "Callie, love, we promise if it wasn't serious our father wouldn't have sent Zane. Zane will escort you to work till we get back." Zane looks up at them in surprise. "I don't think that's necessary Dante." Dameon came up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me to his hard, muscular body. His lips grazing my neck, his teeth nip at my ear as he softly speaks to me. "Princess, it's because of us you could be in danger. Just let us do this please." He kisses my neck. I melt into his body with Dante pressing himself against my chest. Then it registers. Why am I in danger? "Dante, Dameon why am I in danger?" Dante lightly grazes his lips over mine. I'm lost in his eyes. "Our uncle, he could harm you. Please, my love don't fight us." He leans down and gently kisses my lips. I softly moan into his kiss. "Okay." Dameon leans in from behind me and kisses my neck. "Be safe, Princess."
