Y/n POV:

Mum: Wow.

Was all she could say. I nodded my head, understanding the overwhelming information I had just given to her about last night's events. She leant against the kitchen counter as I sat patiently waiting at the island for her to collect her thoughts.

Y/n: I know.

I said, sipping the warm tea she had made me the moment she realised something was troubling my mind.

Mum: Have you spoken to him about it yet?

She asked me, tilting her head in that motherly way to show how concerned she was.

Y/n: No, I don't think it's a good idea for me to see him again.

Mum: Well is that what you want?

I shrugged my shoulders and caught her gaze looking sadly into me, and as much as I didn't want to be effected by this, I couldn't help but be buried under by my emotions.

Y/n: It doesn't matter what I want mum. He's in a relationship, and a good one. God, you should have met her, she's the sweetest person I've ever met. I mean, by all laws of the universe I should hate her but I can't. I don't think it's humanly possible for someone to hate her.

I explained, and my mum raised an eyebrow at me to ask if I was exaggerating but I shook my head to show her that was a complete truth.

She walked around the island and laid a gentle kiss on my head.

Mum: I can't force you to do anything darling...But I know you, and I know you'll regret it if you leave things unresolved again.

Tom POV:

I left Hazel's house sometime in the afternoon the next day, and when I got home Harrison was sat in the living room on his laptop, and didn't bother to glance up at me as I entered.

Tom: Hey...

I said, but he stared blankly at his laptop as if I wasn't even there.

Tom: I wanted to talk about last night. I wasn't completely out of line and I had no right behaving the way I did. So, I'm really really sorry.

Harrison: Have you spoken to Y/n? She's the one you should apologise mostly to.

Tom: I'm planning on seeing her later.

Harrison: Okay.

He said, his voice monotone and continued typing away on his laptop.

Tom: So we're good?

I was expecting another dull response, but the way he scoffed at me and his eyes shrunk with betrayal and hurt told me I had barely scratched the surface.

Harrison: You don't even see it do you?

Tom: See what?

Harrison: You're jealous Tom. You're jealous of me and Y/n.

Tom: Is there a you and Y/n?

Harrison: See, you won't even admit it.

He said angrily, shutting his laptop and walking over to the kitchen. I followed after him but stumbled back as he suddenly spun back around to me.

Harrison: Do you know how shitty that is coming from you Tom? You've been my best mate for how many years? I've watched all of your dreams happen, and supported you. You've got the money and the fame and the girl and when I have the chance at something I want, you want it too. I'm not Spider-Man like you Tom things don't just get handed to me, I'm just Spider-Man's friend.
