I am so sorry for not updating. My oct/nov AS result came out on 11th. I got shit grades, even thought I studied constantly for 4 months. But no teacher was willing to help, syllabus wasn't completed due to lockdown, so I had to do those topics myself from books. As a straight A student, that B and C was a bitter bite.
I was depressed about that.
The next day, on the 12th, we got a call from my Aunt, that my grandfather, Nana, wasn't waking up. We rush yo their house to find it empty. My grandma, his wife, is also very sick. But she wasn't in the country, so we lied to her, told her Nana was in the hospital. And that we can't talk because their is an electricity break down, and Wifi isn't working.
She rushes home on the first flight, unaware that he's gone. We tell her he's gone, when she tells us she's so happy to see the family together.
He's gone. Passed away in his sleep. He's been such a big part of ny life. I can't believe he's gone. I didn't even have time to breathe as these wrecking balls came at me one after the other. I've never had a death in my family, I never even attended a funeral. 3 months ago, his older brother, and now him.
And in the face of his death, the result doesn't matter anymore. I can't believe he's gone. Nana.
"Tharn please!! You can't just go there and create a scene. This isn't the right place. All we need is a little more time, acting now will do nothing for us."
Lhong was having a hard time convincing Tharn to not go to the Queen right now. Doing anything right now would only complicate things further.
Lhong had to give it to her. She had really played them all, by announcing Tharn's engagement infront of a room full of people, she had made him unable to say anything without causing a mess too big to be controlled.
On the other hand, she had gone behind all of their backs, to arrange Type's engagement. Effectively cornering them from all ends. Anything they did, would start a chain reaction, toppling down everything around them.
Infact Lhong couldn't see a way out at all. Not without Tharn losing the throne, and becoming a rebel. And the Queen knew that. Knew, she had Tharn right where he wanted him.
In all honesty, you could feel the difference in the air, the divide between Tharn and Type. Where this relationship had 2 people, now it had 4. Both of them were engaged, which meant they were being pulled apart from both ends.
And he was afraid this wouldn't last long. It had already started, their relationship tomorrow and their relationship today were ground and sky apart.
In the duration of the night, they had gone from being lovers, to people cheating on their partners.
In a night, this had become something wrong. A dirty secret.
Their relationship was standing between death and destruction. In a place, few relationships came back from. And Lhong was afraid, this time, the noose around their necks was too tight to escape from.
This time, they might just have to give up. It wasn't a fight Tharn could win. And the worst part was, where all Tharn would get was a loveless mating, Type would be mated to his assaulter.
His potential rapist. Which meant if Tharn failed, Type was in for an abusive relationship, and a life of hell.
Lhong couldn't let it happen. He had to do something, anything.
"You don't understand Lhong!! I can't let it happen. They think they can make me give Type up by this, I will not let it happen. It doesn't matter what I have to lose. I'll tell them I'm giving up the throne."
