There was no date.
Simply because it began pouring rain. Winds blew sideways and the rain showed no mercy to anything it touched, soaking everything and everyone. Minjimi watched from her window as trash bins went flying, listening to the sound of wind howling against the window pane, the foggy air making it difficult to see down the street.
She wasn't happy about the storm. While she did enjoy when it rained, she hated that it had to rain on the one day she looked forward to.
"Minnie," her brothers voice called out, she turned around to face him, he flashed a smile at her, standing in the doorway. "Mother is doing art downstairs, would you like to join?" Minjun asked.
"No thank you." She replied softly, turning back around in her chair to stare out into the rain again.
"Okay, your loss. Also...somebody brought you a gift."
Minjimi hummed in confusion, spinning in her chair and standing up walking to him. "What do you mean?"
"It means what I said. Somebody brought you a gift." Minjun turned, leaving the room. Minjimi furrowed her brows and followed him downstairs, there, standing in the doorway, covered in water from the rain, leaves in his hair, stood Seokjin holding a box. Minjimi gasped, holding her composure and walking over to him. "Seokjin.." she murmured, glancing down into the box, a black and white spotted chicken gobbling at her. "What are you doing here?" Minjimi asked, looking back up at the taller male. "Your chicken escaped in the storm, figured I'd bring it back safely." He smiled warmly. Minjimi chuckled, reaching into the box and taking the chicken out, holding it to her chest. "Thank you..why don't you come in? You can take a shower and get cozy." She offered, he nodded, accepting it and following her up the stairs. She set the chicken down onto the bed and snuck into her brothers bedroom, taking a pair of loose fitting pants and a white poets shirt. She handed it to Seokjin and showed him to the bathroom. Once he got situated, she returned to her room.
Sitting onto her bed, a grin tugged at her lips. Why do I feel this way? It's just a guy..a strangely..handsome..man..but I don't like him! Why would I like him? I don't. Right..? Her thoughts ran around her head. She tried to convince herself that there was no feeling of attraction towards Seokjin, yet, every time she looked into those dark irises, she felt bubbly on the inside. His laugh, the way his eyes wrinkled when he smiled, his perfectly natural lined lips. I kissed those lips.
Seokjin was like a gold mine. No, better than a gold mine. He was tall, broad shouldered, devilishly handsome yet there was no part of him that was evil. He was a ball of love and light, if you could place happiness into a person, it was him. He was more than a gold mine, but I don't think there could ever be anything to describe what he is.
There was a soft knock at the bedroom door and she shifted her attention, "come in." She choked out. Seokjin walked into the room, smiling at her, his hair ruffled and wet, but clean. She was surprised the clothing fit him rather well, other than the pants that he had to tuck and buckle to his waist since they were loose around his waist. "Had a good shower?" She asked. He gave a simple little head nod and folded his clothing in his arms. "Do you mind if I set this anywhere?"
"Not at all, here." She stood up, taking them from him. She set them down onto the edge of her bed, not caring that they were wet still. She told him to sit at her vanity while she grabbed a hair spray from her drawer.
She positioned herself behind him while he admired himself in the vanity mirror, Minjimi couldn't help but giggle at him as she picked up her comb and side parted his hair, brushing it out. "Since you're poor, how did you afford such nice suits?" She inquired in order to keep the energy between them soft and clean.
"They're kind of stolen, but I always return them at the end of the day. I kind of have to wear them though, since you know...the rich part of town isn't a very nice one towards people who don't wear what's expected of them to wear." Seokjin explained. Minjimi stared at him through the mirror, "who cares what they think? They're just people. You should never let random strangers whom you may never see again dictate what you do with your life. If you want to wear something, wear it. Doesn't matter what people's opinions on it are."
"Deep." Seokjin chuckled, she sighed quietly and their eyes met through the mirror. She felt lost staring into those dazzling eyes-
"Stop staring at me like that, you're going to make me nervous." Seokjin interrupted her thoughts. "Why do you like me, Seokjin?" Minjimi asked in a soft, questioning tone.
"Well, because you're not a spoiled rich brat despite being given everything you could ever ask for. You have rules and you break them, you're tough and annoyingly feisty, but you're also talented and creative. There's something so alluring about you, like a sirens call to a pirate. Although I do ask that you don't drown me." Seokjin joked. Minjimi felt a thousand different feelings spark inside her.
"Oh...wow...wasn't expecting that." She laughed it off and Seokjin smiled, tilting his head back to look up at her. "Is this our date now?"
She stared at him in questionable thought, and nodded after a while. "Yeah, this is our date now."
"Good." He stood up and faced her, holding his hand out to her.
"Would you like to dance?"
