chickens

Minjimi watched as her friend, Jimin, chased a chicken around the yard, cursing slight profanities as he tripped over pots and flower beds, running into tables and chairs and diving under benches (which muddied his clothes) for the animal that ran for its life from him.

How she found herself in this situation? She didn't really know. Just a few minutes ago she was strolling with Jeongguk down the pathway up to her house, when she saw Jimin running after a chicken into her yard, which she took her seat at a bench to watch him while Jeongguk went to go find something to capture the chicken with.

Leaning forward onto her knee, chin resting in palm, Minjimi stared at her guy friend trample around her front yard for the running bird, which seemed to be squealing it's own curse words in its own language when Jimin would reach at it.

Jeongguk finally came out from the side yard carrying a net for the pool, chasing after the chicken with Jimin. And while Jeongguk was popularly known around town for being able to run long distances at a fast speed without fault, he wasn't exactly popularly known for sliding all over the place as he chased a damn chicken.

Eventually, Jimin and Jeongguk rounded the chicken up into a corner out of her view beside the house. It was quiet for a moment, and Minjimi raised an eyebrow confused.

But that didn't last long, for Jeongguk and Jimin came back screaming, and multiple chickens now chased them, Minjimi rolled her eyes and got off the bench, quickly hurrying to the porch as Jimin and Jeongguk laughed and screamed as chickens gave them a taste of their own medicine.

Heading inside, Minjimi sighed, noticing the maids peeking out the windows at the two boys in the yard, their small giggles made Minjimi crack a small smile, and continue her way into the house.

"Hey darling, do you know what's causing all that ruckus out there? It's quite loud." Her mother asked her from the living room, a maid standing next to her fanning the rich woman. "Jimin and Jeongguk are playing with the chickens, that's all." She shrugged, her mother nodded, grabbing a wine glass and filling it with a rich red wine and placing it to her lips, Minjimi walked into the kitchen, glancing out the front window through the side door at the front yard, where Jeongguk and Jimin tackled each other for the front door, which a few maids held open, eagerly waving at them to hurry up.

Minjimi went into the small pantry, sorting through quick foods to make as she listened to the boys make inhuman noises and groans of defeat as they eventually made it into the house.

"Note to self: don't let the five year olds play with chickens." Minjimi said monotonously, Jeongguk resting against the counter as Jimin leaned over her shoulder looking into the pantry, both of them panting for air. She closed the pantry door and turned to them, "my moms gonna yell at us, come on." She lead them out of the room, both of them still struggling for air as they headed up the stairs, down the hall, through a corridor, and into her room, where Jeongguk threw himself onto her bed and Jimin face planted onto her soft, fur carpet in the center of her room.

"They're chickens, what the hell? Why are you so winded?" Minjimi sat down into her chair, Jeongguk sat up, laying across her pillows, "you have no idea...those chickens? We turned the corner and there were like...fifty of them...and they all made these weird noises and they chased after us and they wouldn't stop so there was nowhere we could go to for safety." He placed his hand across his chest, Minjimi raised an eyebrow at him, crossing her arms. "We don't have fifty chickens, we have maybe a dozen, and besides, just run indoors when that happens, why were you even chasing after a chicken in the first place?" She focused her attention to Jimin, who rolled over so he faced the ceiling.

"Because that blasted white creature stole my jam, and Namjoon made fun of me for it." He pouted, Minjimi's eyes widened. "A chicken...stole your jam..."

"Yes! It did! I was sitting down waiting for you to come back with Jeongguk when that chicken came up to me and stole my favorite jam!" Jimin sat up, Minjimi couldn't tell if he was making a joke or being serious, but by the tone of his voice and by the seriousness of his face, she figured he was being for real.

"Wait okay...a chicken stole...a whole jar of jam?" Minjimi said slowly, trying to clarify, Jimin nodded his whole head, which slightly rocked his body a bit.

"Oh my god...are you literally five? Just take the jam back...and how did it even hold onto a jar of jam?" Minjimi rubbed her forehead, Jimin raised his arms in confusion. "I guess it wasn't an entire jar...but it stuck it's head into the jar and ate some of it..."

Minjimi sighed, standing up and walking to her window that over looked the yard, staring down at the benches, with, surprisingly, a jar of jam knocked over and shattered onto the stone walkway.

"Where's Namjoon? You said he made fun of you?" Minjimi turned back to Jimin, who nodded angrily, "he left, don't know where he went."

The girl sighed, sitting back back into her chair. "Well...what do you guys wanna do?"

"Apple orchard? I wanna take some of the apples and watch them get mad." Jeongguk smiled, Minjimi shot a glare at him, but on second thought, decided it wasn't entirely a bad idea.

Minjimi was filthy rich. Well...her parents were...without them, she would be cut off completely. When she turns twenty, she'll be kicked from the house with no money, so she knows she's going to be dirt poor eventually, so why not break the rules? Her parents don't care about her anyway.

"Let me change, get out." She stood up going to her closet, rummaging through her outfits as the boys left.

It technically wouldn't be robbing...because the apples didn't belong to anybody...

And besides, the apple orchard was close to her favorite hang out spot anyway.
