Been a while, aye? I've been working on a new book 😏
A short chapter, because writers block

Casey Mayor
The one and only person Vince was thinking about as he parked his lavish car in his driveway. The singer had been living at the studio off and on while the band prepped the final arrangements for their new album. But all the hard work was done now, and all Vince wanted to do was hold his girlfriend and shower her with love.

With desperation, the blond shoved his keys into the home's front door lock and marched inside, immediately calling out the girls name. He looked around the house for the beautiful red head, but she simply couldn't be found. That was until Vince checked his and Casey's bedroom, and there she was, all cuddled up with a book in her hands. Gone With The Wind.

Vince carefully made his way into the bedroom, stepping down softly so he wouldn't disrupt the peace and quiet his girlfriend had going on in the room.

"You know I can see you, right?" Casey asked suddenly, a small smile on her face. She saw the singer from her peripheral vision, and to be honest, he wasn't that sneaky; "you're back, I didn't hear you come in," Casey joked as she slipped her bookmark between two pages of her book and set it down beside her.

"You were too focused on your book to notice the handsome man come into the fuckin' room?" Vince jumped onto the bed and laid down beside his girlfriend, all before flashing her a smile and a wink.

"A handsome man? You mean Rob Lowe is here?" Casey teased as she pretended to look around the room for her secret, not so secret, Hollywood crush. Vince scoffed as a reply and made himself comfortable in the warm blankets and pillows; "I'm only kidding, I'm glad you're back," Casey pressed a kiss to the singer's forehead before picking up her book again and opening it. The girl started reading in her head, until she was interrupted a few minutes later.

"Can you read it out loud?" Vince asked as he looked up at Casey with pleading puppy dog eyes. But of course he wouldn't need to beg, Casey loved reading out loud to Vince. And though he would never admit it to anyone besides her, Vince loved it when Casey read aloud too. He liked hearing her gentle voice, and he liked when she would explain a word he didn't understand the meaning of.

Casey made Vince feel special, protected. She didn't call him dumb or stupid when he didn't understand a word or a phrase, instead she'd simply explain it as best as she could.
Vince truly loved her for that.

"Gerald's happy-go-lucky mode of living. As valet, he kept Geralds bedroom in order.." Casey began to read off the page she was last on. Vince carefully positioned himself so his head was resting on Casey's lap, and he was able to lay comfortably without crushing her; "Geralds sharp blue eyes noticed how efficiently his neighbors houses were run..."

Casey continued reading for a short while until the sound of quiet snores and light breathing came from Vince. The girl couldn't help but gently run her fingers through her boyfriend's hair while she kept reading. She knew Vince probably hadn't gotten a proper good night sleep in over a week, so who was she to disturb him?

And besides, who wouldn't want a blond haired cutie asleep on their lap?
