•The 1990's were a rough decade for Vince Neil. Starting with being fired from Mötley Crüe, two failed marriages, and slipping into an extreme depressive state, it was no surprise that the singer practically drowned himself in drugs and alcohol. It seemed like he was trying to kill himself, he felt as though he had absolutely nothing to live for. Coming home to an empty house after recording a song for a solo album was far from what Vince was used to.
To cope, he attended parties, strip clubs, any place that could possibly take his mind somewhere else. His coke addiction came back, and water was replaced with alcohol. He didn't have a care in the world. He didn't care if he overdosed, he didn't care if he landed himself in the hospital because of alcohol poisoning. Maybe he wanted that to happen. Maybe he truly did want to die.
His mental, and physical, state was bad. Really bad. Everyone who was close to him could tell he was drastically getting worse and worse, until a sliver of hope entered his life. A women, whom he met at a bar, by the name of Bailey Dayholt. She worked as a bartender, had the facial features of a goddess, and was damn near perfect in Vince's eyes. When he first started to flirt with her, he felt as though he lost his mojo. His pickup lines were cringe worthy and he couldn't help but internally curse himself out for his awkwardness. But Bailey found the blond insanely cute, and agreed to go out on a proper date with him.
The pair were married not long after Vince went back to being Mötley Crüe's frontman. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii, and nine months later, in 1997, were blessed with a baby girl.
Scarlett Jean Wharton.
The child inherited her father's blonde hair and love for music. The father-daughter duo could be found barreling down the boulevard while passionately singing the lyrics to Shout At The Devil when Scarlett was only four years old. She also inherited her mother's bright green eyes and charming personality, which helped her get all the boys, and girls, in high school. The girl was always confident with who she was, she practically radiates courage and self respect.Scarlett went to the University Of California to study music. At the ripe age of twenty, she was slowly becoming a successful musician, releasing her first album under Mötley Records. The girl would later become a vital role in the production of The Dirt at the age of twenty-three, helping to record new songs and help accurately design the actors costumes.
But life threw the girl a curveball when she was introduced to the cast of the upcoming biopic.
Douglas was a sweetheart, always complimenting the fine work that was being put in during filming.
Daniel could sit with Scarlett for hours, simply sharing life stories and cracking jokes.
Iwan was quiet in the beginning, but once the two became better friends, they would switch off on bringing each other meals and snacks during the filming.
But one guy stuck out in her mind, maybe it was the tattoos, maybe it was his attitude, but that man was none other than Colson Baker, otherwise known as Machine Gun Kelly-
"Tell me more about yourself, you have to have some interesting stories about your life, considering you're the daughter of the most notorious frontman," Colson laughed softly as he took a sip of his wine. Scarlett thought for a moment, looked around the restaurant that the two were currently seated in for their date, then smiled.
This wasn't their first date, in fact, it was their third. Vince knew about his daughters little crush on the blond rapper, but what he lacked knowledge in was the fact the two were sneaking around to meet up just two weeks after they met.
"There's this one time, my dad took us to Paris for a few months for vacation when I was around.. fifteen," the blonde girl started telling the story, but had to pause when Colson leaned forward, obviously captivated as to what she could say next. Scarlett couldn't lie to herself, the rapper was extremely handsome; "and we ended up going to the Sacred Heart Basilica of Montmartre. We were casually walking around, till my dad suggested we go all the way to the top of the building. We did, and once we were up there, my dad took my mother's hands in his and started reciting his vows from their wedding. It was so sweet, my mom started to cry," Scarlett smiled as she thought back to the heart warming memory; "to any other teenager, it would of been embarrassing to see your parents like that. But I thought it was beautiful, to see my parents so in love. That's when I knew I wanted a love like theirs. So raw, and undying. It's exhilarating to me,"
Colson listened so intently, and even started to picture the scene in his head. In the small amount of time the rapper had known Vince, he never would of imagined the singer could think of something like that. But then again, Vince fucking Neil was full of surprises.
"I must admit, I can see why you're the lyricist for your band. The way you describe the situation, it sounds so.." Colson thought about the right word to say; "poetic. Something out of a fairytale," the rapper smiled at how corny that sounded, but it was a compliment to Scarlett. The two locked eyes for a moment, lovestruck grins plastered on both their faces.
Colson leaned in first, then Scarlett. Going in for a romantic kiss, Colson softly whispered "it's like you're out of a fairytale," before their lips connected. It felt as though fireworks were going off in Scarlett's stomach, and to Colson, he couldn't help but lose himself in the thought of kissing this girl for the rest of his life.
The two slowly pulled away, not wanting to have a full blown makeout session in a restaurant that served $500 wine. A faint blush was present on both their cheeks, and the pair were desperately trying to get their heartrates to slow down and go back to normal.
Colson cleared his throat and exchanged a glance with the blonde girl, who was giving the rapper very obvious 'let's get out of here' eyes. He paid for their dinner, Scarlett left the tip, and the two left the restaurant. They drove up and down the streets of Los Angeles, sharing stories and plans for upcoming activities. Colson told the girl about his fucked up childhood, and Scarlett told him about the times she would have to comfort her depressive father as a teenager. But all in all, those experiences made them who they were today.
Two adults, brought together in a strange but could-be-stranger way, living life to the absolute fullest. The only problem? Scarlett having to tell her father she's dating famous rapper, Machine Gun Kelly.
