•I messed up
How can one single person manage to screw up so bad? Out of all people, it had to happen to me, the wife of Mick Mars.
Vince just had to ask for a stupid coffee. If he didn't need a bloody coffee, I wouldn't of spilt anything on the new lyrics for Bad Boy Blues.
But here I sit, trying desperately to dry the papers off before any of the guys come back from their lunch break.
I tried dabbing the liquid off with my jacket sleeve and some tissue. Then tried blowing on the papers so they would dry faster, but the brown coffee colour would be obvious evidence of an accident.
Nikki will be the first to get mad, he wrote the lyrics.
Then Vince, because he has to sing the lyrics covered in his coffee.
Then Mick, because the embarrassment will overpower him. His wife is a klutz.
And Tommy? Well he'll just laugh it off.The brass doorknob jiggled for a second before the four boys walked inside, smiling and laughing at a joke Tommy had said in the hallway.
"Jesse? What are you doing here? Didn't realize we were racing to the studio," Nikki gave a heartwarming smile as he took his jacket off and slung it onto the back of a chair.
"Vince needed a coffee.." I mumbled with a defeated sigh. Telling the truth would be better than lying. "And I accidentally spilled it on the lyrics for a song.." the feeling of tears pricking my eyes made me feel pathetic.
"Hey, babe. Don't cry, it was an accident wasn't it?" Mick quickly wrapped his arms around my waist, looking into my eyes. "Shit happens, it's not that difficult of a situation to fix," my husband placed a gentle kiss to my forehead.
Vince, Nikki, and Tommy crouched down to look at the drenched papers on the table. Nikki even picked one up and watched as the coffee ran off the edge and onto the papers under it. All he did was chuckle.
"Besides, I didn't like the lyrics Nikki wrote anyway," Vince joked as a single tear fell down my cheek, earning him a, what seemed like a painful, slap across the back from Nikki.
"I thought you guys would be mad.. I know you're all so stressed for the album release. I don't want to be a burden," I confessed as Mick pulled me into a hug, soothingly running his hand up and down my back.
"You could never be a burden, you're my wife," Mick placed a gentle kiss to the side of my head. "You're Mrs. Mars, and nobody can stay mad at Mrs. Mars," Mick said with a cheeky grin, something that didn't happen very often.
I wiped the few remaining tears away and gave Mick a sweet kiss on the lips, a small giggle escaping my mouth from the 'Mrs. Mars' comment.
I slowly pulled away from Mick's grasp, going to hug Vince once he stood up from the ground with the other two.
"I'll get you a new coffee, I swear I won't spill it on anything," I looked up at my husband's friend and fellow band mate. Vince may be the shortest in Mötley Crüe, but he still towered over me.
"I appreciate it, Jesse," he flashed his killer smile and followed me over to the door before whispering "but hey, if you wanted to spill the coffee on Nikki, that would be hilarious,"
"I heard that!" Nikki pointed at Vince, trying not to let a smile crack on his face. I just shook my head, waved at the boys, and left the room to get my friend a new coffee.
