•The Sunset Strip
Valerie was no stranger to the neighborhood or the people surrounding it. She walked the strip nearly every night, enjoying the night life the great city of Los Angeles's had to offer.
The bright lights, the loud music, the burning taste of alchohol, and the smell of cigarettes was always what the girl pictured her grown-up life would consist of.
Growing up in the small town of Bandera, Texas, Valerie always wanted to move to the big city. And that's exactly what she did after she graduated university.
The rebellious teen she once was disappeared when she went to university to get her degree in music, something she was always passionate about.
Valerie got her Bachelor Of Arts, packed up her small suitcase, and moved thousands of miles away to live the life she always dreamed of.
Now at the ripe age of twenty-five, she has a successful career in the music industry, writing lyrics and producing tracks for well known artists.
She just never thought the notorious group named Mötley Crüe would be walking into her studio one sunny afternoon.
-
"I think Dr.Feelgood is gonna be a hit guys, I can just feel it," Tommy said excitedly as he spun around on his chair, a huge smile plastered on his face.
"I think so too, you guys really pulled out all the stops," Valerie replied to her friend, and business associate, as she read over the final copy of lyrics for the song.
"And since we're clean, we'll be able to sell it real good on stage," Vince chimed in as he started spinning Tommy's chair faster, laughing as he watched the dizziness takeover the poor boy.
Valerie just giggled softly at her friends as she handed the papers back to Nikki.
"Stop spinning, Tommy. Unless you want him to throw up all over your new jeans, Vince," Valerie looked at Vince with a small smile, and the comment was enough for him to stop.
The man truly loved his new jeans.
"Hey, Valerie," Mick suddenly spoke, making everyone in the room look at where he was sat on the brown leather sofa; "can we chat for a moment?"
The girl nodded and followed the man out the door, making sure it was closed behind them so, hopefully, the other three wouldn't hear the conversation.
This was an important detail in both Valerie's and Mick's lives.
They were sneaking around together. And have been for the past three months.
Mick wasted no time in connecting his lips with Valerie's, his hands secured on her waist. His grip was tight, like he was scared she'd slip away.
The two shared a heated kiss before slowly pulling away to catch their breath.
"What was that for?" Valerie asked as she rested her forehead against Mick's, her face flushed and her heart beating rapidly.
"I wanted to do that all day," Mick admitted, gently biting his bottom lip; "why don't we get out of here? Head up to my place?"
"I'd really love to, Mick. But we have to start the production of the album today," Valerie huffed, desperately wishing she could leave with Mick right this instant.
"Fine. Then tonight you're staying at my place," Mick gave Valerie a quick kiss on her forehead as he slowly took his hands off her waist. The lose of contact making her feel colder. "And pajamas aren't really necessary,"
"Are clothes in general neccessary at your place?" Valerie teased as she ruffled the guitar players hair, a smug smile on his face.
And with that, Valerie went to walk back into the studio, but it felt like the door was blocked. Mick gave it a hard shove, and that's when the grunts and groans could be heard on the opposite side of the door.
The friends with benefits walked into the room, both their arms folded across their chest as they looked down at Tommy, Nikki, and Vince on the floor.
"Were you listening to our conversation?" Valerie's voice boomed, something that never usually happened.
"We were, and thank fuckin' God. That's some juicy shit you guys got going on," Nikki chuckled as he got up from the floor, dusting his pants off.
"I can't believe you guys are sleeping together!" Tommy practically shouted so loud they were sure the whole building heard.
"Just keep it a secret, alright?" Mick glared at the three younger boys, returning to his spot on the sofa; "we don't want any publicly,"
The three misfits shared a glance, a smirk, then started bombarding Valerie with questions.
When did it start?
Is he even any good?
Is he romantic?
And Valerie's personal favorite-
Are you in love?
Because the small town girl was in fact in love with the rockstar, but she would never admit that.
Not to Mick, and not even to herself.
