It was already getting dark, and I was getting a little freaked out. And by a little I mean I was pinching my hand just to calm my nerves. Deep down I felt safe, which is weird, but in the outside, ha, not at all.
When he first opened the door, it smelled like someone had lit up candles, a sweet smell.
The inside was empty. No chairs, no tables, no life in it. I like this place. I feel safe. It was a five floor building. Then I realized. It was a house. Not a building full of offices. It was a house. I wondered who had lived here.
The walls where covered with a green wallpaper, with patterns on it. I stood in the middle of what seemed like the living room. There was a couch, pretty fancy in my opinion. It was red, it was like those couches I have seen in old magazines, very glamorous.

"I found this place years ago" Jeffrey said.
"I like it here" I said.
"I knew you would" He answered.
"Are you here most of the time?" I asked.
"Yeah, when I am not with you, or at school, I'm here" He said.
We looked at each other smiling. And there was something in his eyes, I didn't understood.

"Come with me" He said and hold my hand. I followed him up the stairs.
We went up the stairs, until we got to what seemed the attic. It wasn't the kind of creepy attic where people find corpses in horror movies. No. It was the kind of place I would go to when I felt depressed. It was a small room full with plants, like a small garden. The ceiling was like an enormous window, which seemed perfect for the plants.

"Do you spend most of your time here too?" I asked
"You tell me" He said.
"Why didn't you show me this place before?" I asked.
(MENTAL NOTE: I feel like I am asking way too many questions.)

"I don't know" He said without even looking at my eyes.
"Want a cigarette?" He asked.
"You smoke?" I asked once again.
"Umm- no, I found them here and I haven't even light one on since then, are you gonna be mad at me for having cigarettes?" He asked.
"Of course I'm not gonna be mad at you. And yes I want one" I said.

He handed me a cigarette, he lighted it on and my lungs were full with smoke. I felt free. Or maybe it was the cigarette. He lighted one on for him.
"Oh, yeah, I have another things to show you" He said while he had the cigarette between his lips.
Oh what would that be, I thought.
He got food out of the backpack he had been carrying with him all day long. And he got a blanket, candles, even pillows, out of a big wooden box.
"Wow" I said "You got it all planned" I added.
"Do you like this?" He asked.
"If-I; of course I do like this! This is like the most romantic, surprising, thing someone has ever done for me" I said. I could finally see what was wrong in his eyes. He was sad; I don't know about what though. I would have to find out myself.

We laid down on the blanket with the pillows under our heads, surrounded by lighten candles, and smoke coming out of our mouths. Looking at the now dark starry night. It made me just want to freeze time so this moment last forever and never change.
