Nicola cradled her friend as tears dropped down Cat's face silently. She could see Cat struggling to hold it together and was suddenly sick to her stomach. She hadn't thought this would hurt Cat, she'd never realized Cat had real feelings for Tom Bell. She knew Tom would be upset, she took great pleasure in seeing him moments ago. But now hopefully he'd back off and leave Cat alone. He needed to be knocked off his pedestal.

    Leaking the pictures to the papers would have happened anyway, someone would have recognised her from Tom's website, eventually.

"What have I done?" Cat said in a soft voice.

  "I'm sorry Hun." Nic kissed Cat's hair. She loved her more than Tom and more than Trent Sutton combined. Trent didn't know the meaning of love, the pompous faggot and Tom was too far up his own arse to really be any good for Cat. Nic would be here for her friend, and their relationship would blossom, last night was wonderful. Aside from the fact that Tom was there, it had been a dream come true for Nic. She closed her eyes  recalling how soft and sensual Cat had been. Nic knew she'd be a great lover, and last night proved it. She'd just have to be patient and eventually she would have Cat all to herself.

  "You should call Trent." Hopefully he'll do them both a favour and finally divorce Cat, Nic thought wistfully. Everyone close to the famous couple knew the marriage was a farce, they had been living separate lives for half their marriage. She could never understand why Cat had never divorced the old fart, or at least taken a lover before Tom.

   She must have been so lonely all these years, no wonder she thinks she's in love with the first cock she's come across. She'll get over him, even if Nic had to throw another man in her path the same way she did with Tom Bell. She knew Cat would like Tom the first time she'd met him a few months ago. He had that shy boy, act down pat, no one could resist him, not even super woman Catherine Stone. Her plan had worked to perfection, she'd managed to get Tom Bell to sign the contract, riding his beautiful cock was an unexpected bonus. And now she'd finally break up Cat's loveless marriage.

  Right on cue Cat's house phone began to ring.

   "Oh God, I can't deal with Trent yet." Cat pleaded with her friend who picked up the phone. She listened, rolling her eyes then hung up.

  "He's in Spain, he'll be here tomorrow morning." Nic announced to her friend's dismay.

  Trent Sutton had been Cat's teacher and mentor at university; they found they had a lot in common, despite the ten year age difference. Cat had opened up to him about her trust issues, saying she'd rather never marry than deal with the thought of losing someone she loved. Cat smiled despite her pain at the irony of the current situation. She'd married Trent because he worshipped her, she cared for him, but had never loved him. Choosing a safe life with Trent over the terrifying thought of being alone for ever.

  "I'll stay with you." Nic insisted handing Cat a strong black coffee.

  "Thank you Nic but I need to be alone." Cat forced a smile. Cat embraced her solitude, she deserved to be alone for ever, she felt like she was a heartless monster for leading Tom on.

   Later that day, Cat sat at her desk, staring at Tom's fan website on the computer screen. It was full of fan posted photographs of Tom on stage and posing happily with his fans. Her stomach knotted up at the sight of him in the pictures, so confident and sexy. She was wracked with guilt recalling his face this morning in bed, vulnerable and sincere. Cat blinked back tears as she pictured the contrast in his features as he yelled those cruel words at her, he hated her, and she didn't blame him. She hated herself a more.
