Cat was elated she'd managed to beat Trent and Sam back to the cottage. She heard Sam call out while she was in the shower. She'd gasped at the sight of the tiny love bites all over her breasts when she looked down at her ample breasts. Tom had made sure no one saw her naked but himself. And she loved him for it. For the first time in years, Cat was deliriously happy.
She managed to get tickets to Tom's concert for Sam and Steven, thanks to Nicola. Cat was thankful Trent declined the invitation, for what ever reason, she didn't ask but she knew exactly why. She scowled at the thought of Nic's sudden obsession with unsuspecting Steven. Cat shrugged her shoulders, Steven's a big boy if he was smart enough to get away from Jane Stone, he'd be ok with Nicola Starr.
Sam had been so excited about the concert, she was jumping with joy at the prospect of meeting Tom Bell. Cat suspected her niece wanted to check him out because of her own connection to the musician, but she didn't mind Sam's protective nature. She was a smart young woman, mature for her age, intuitive and didn't take any bullshit. Jane had raised a strong warrior woman.
"Did Nic tell you about her offer?" Trent asked as Cat appeared dressed in a sleeveless turtle neck and blue jeans. Her thick, dark hair was tied loosely in a pony tail at the back of her neck. Cat felt a surge of guilt as her husband admired her."What offer?" Cat asked, she'd forgotten she'd used a coffee date with Nicola as an alibi for going to the city, she was already bad at being unfaithful.
"She offered me a job." Sam blurted out, giving her uncle a death stare for telling her aunt before she had a chance to.
"What sort of job?" Cat asked. What was Nic up to? She thought.
"Modeling." Trent answered for his niece who gave him a playful smack on the arm."Modeling? You're too smart to waste your brains modeling Sammy." Cat said.
"I have to talk to mum first, dad doesn't know either so don't mention anything, please." Sam pleaded.
"It's not up to me to mention anything Sammy, come on we'll be late." Cat smiled at Trent, who stood and took her hand before she left.
"Te amo." He whispered in her ear then kissed her cheek tenderly. Cat smiled back, she once loved it when Trent spoke Spanish to her, she knew he was trying hard to win her back. Cat saw the concerned look on her husband's face as she walked away. He pretended not to mind that Cat was still going tonight 'to support Tom' in his first big performance. Of course he hadn't believed her when she'd explained that the young man was her friend, that's all.
The concert had already begun by the time Cat, Sam and Steven arrived. BJ's was a VIP night club, a secluded place where only the celebrities and the elite crowd were allowed in. The club was full to capacity, Cat looked towards the stage at Tom sitting on the stool singing. Her heart leaped at the sight of him. She tore her eyes away just long enough to look for Nic who'd promised them the best seats in the house.
"There." Sam pointed to a roped off lounge area where Nic was waving at them. Cat knew Tom would have insisted on being able to see Cat during his performance. He had been extremely nervous about tonight, hating the pressure he was under. Cat had kissed him and told him to imagine everyone naked. He smiled and told her she'd better sit in the front row in that case.
The trio took their seats with Nicola, Cat looked to the stage, she was in Tom's direct eye line. His eyes were focused on a spot in front of him. She stared at him willing him to look up. Sam was seated beside Cat, Steven across from her, beside Nic.
"Oh my God, he's SO good." Sam whispered into Cat's ear. Yes he is, Cat thought to herself, biting her bottom lip just as Tom looked directly at her. He smiled faintly, causing Cat to blush, she was grateful to be facing away from Sam. All she could think about was the moisture between her legs as she began to throb with desire.
