Trent returned a week later, Cat met him in at the airport, he greeted his estranged wife with a passionate kiss. She was truly happy to see him for the first time in years. He was relieved when she returned his passionate kiss, happy to know she missed him! The feeling was mutual. He hadn't stopped thinking about Cat since he left.
For a minute, he was worried he'd forced his wife into making a choice she wasn't ready to make. But seeing her smiling face now, and having her melt against him as he kissed her, proved she was committed to this reunion and happy with her choice.
He wanted to take her home and make love to her for the rest of the day, week, the rest of their lives together. He could think of nothing else but making up for lost time. Cat looked at him under her long lashes, he could tell she was thinking the same thing. The pair held hands and kissed in the back of her town car all the way to her house. He dropped his bags outside the front door and scooped his wife up into his arms.
"Let's do this properly." He said carrying her, laughing, over the threshold. Once inside they were tearing each other's clothes off, leaving a trail all the way to her bed. They made love slowly, it was familiar yet the passion was much more powerful than before.
Both of them had changed over the years, it showed in their love making. Cat pushed the thoughts of Trent with other women over the years out of her mind. He was a passionate man, she'd never expected him to live without intimacy. But those day were over. She was back in his life and she knew he would never need anyone else again.
"Te amo." Trent whispered as he drifted off to an exhausted, and satisfied sleep.
"I love you too." Cat replied, allowing a tear to fall silently from the corner of her eye.
It had been a hard week for Cat, she'd thrown herself into her new book with a passion. She missed Tom more than she thought possible. She cherished the short time she had with him, for he had roused her from a slumber she wasn't even aware she was in. Catherine Stone was more alert, more passionate and more determined than ever to live her life to it's fullest. Tom showed her she was still a vibrant, sexy woman. She was determined to remember him with gratitude and, in private, with a full heart.
Cat snuggled into the arms of her husband, as he instinctively pulled her closer in his sleep. She was happy to be with Trent again. She was letting go of the past, and embracing a life with the man who understood and supported every aspect of her life. She was both afraid and excited about her future, a feeling she hadn't experienced since her university days.
Cat woke the following morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and bacon. Cat, Nic and Samantha were all vegetarians and she'd forgotten what it was like to have the smell of meat cooking in the house. She smiled, scrunching up her nose. She slid out of bed and went into the kitchen, standing in the doorway watching Trent cook. He was wearing only boxers, his shoulders were muscular and tanned, his toned chest covered in dark hair.
.
"Good morning." She said surprising him. He turned to face her. The look on his face made her feel like she did on her honeymoon, his eyes devoured her. He walked to her and kissed her passionately."Do you realize I can see straight through that flimsy little night dress..." he groaned into her ear.
"Sorry, am I distracting you from your bacon?" She asked in a seductive tone. He walked to the stove and turned it off. Returning to his wife, he picked her up and placed her on the kitchen counter.
"What bacon?" He asked as he raised her night dress...
Nicola frowned as she hung up the phone. She'd been trying to contact Cat for days but she'd either been working or in a meeting. Nic knew that dick Trent was back in Cat's life again.
