The Alpha's roar was deafening, and Storm, who was now currently laying in a heap on the cavern floor, threw his wings over his head. The message was clear: Get out. So instinctively, Storm lept into the air. What he was not expecting was the big tusk coming down at him. Just barely spinning out of the way as the tusk crashed down where he had last been standing, Storm fired a plasma blast as a distraction to make his grand escape.

The blast hit it's mark.

Another roar sounded throughout the icy nest, and Storm raced past dragons, who for some reason hadn't started after him yet. But he was almost there, in fact he could see the small hole in the wall he had come through.

Almost there...

That's when he heard it: The whooshing of an inhale. And Storm knew what usually followed. Time seemed to slow as Storm propelled him self towards the exit, just as he felt something cool and solid wrap around his tail. With a yelp, Storm was yanked back into a solid wall of ice. He struggled for a moment, confused at what was happening. How had the ice gotten here? Then he remembered the Alpha. It was an alpha, wasn't it? As he dangled with half of his tail stuck in the ice, Storm tried to remember the stories his mother had told him. Had she ever mentioned a dragon that breathed ice? There weren't any at the Sanctuary for sure, or he would've remembered it.

A loud growl brought him out of his thoughts. He looked up, and led out a surprised shriek. The giant face of the Alpha peered down on him from above. It bared its teeth and emitted a low, commanding growl. Storm panicked and desperately tried to pull himself free, but the ice wouldn't budge. A sudden thought popped into his head. It's ice, you idiot! It needs to melt! Of course! How could he be so stupid!

Heating a plasma blast in the back of his throat, Storm aimed at his frozen tail and fired. The ice shattered and he began to fall headfirst into the ice below. But with a quick twirl and and the opening of his wings, he used the momentum to right himself towards the ceiling. What he didn't anticipate was the Alpha's face to be right there. Swooping around the giant horns and tusks, Storm looked for an exit. He couldn't remain here or he would surly be killed. His eyes scanned the icy walls and then the ceiling. There had to be an exit somewhere...

There! Near the top of the cavern there was only a thin layer of ice. A plasma blast could definitely get him through! Dodging through the ice spikes to loose the dragons that were suddenly pursuing him, Storm angled his wings towards the sky.

Boom!

As expected, the ice blew open in a cloud of smoke, revealing an exit. Storm blasted through it, leaving only smoke in his wake.
