6 Years Later. (Storm is now 10 and almost fully grown.)

At 10 years old, Storm was a pretty threatening sight. He was quite big, bigger than a night fury, due to the Skrill side of him, but not by a ton. Storm's life had been getting better; nobody bothered to bully him because of how powerful he had become, but he still didn't have many friends outside Achira. Everyone kept clear of him most of the time, mainly because of his lightning abilities. Today Storm sat out on a rock on the beach and watched the young Scaldrons play in the ocean. He had been there for a few hours, relaxing in the sun. Suddenly, the splashing ceased and the water fell silent. Storm picked his head up and sniffed the air. Something wasn't right.

Then, he saw it. Way out on the ocean, there was a small black dot that was gradually getting closer. Storm waited for a few minutes to see what it was, until the realization slammed into him. It's a ship! Headed towards our sanctuary! I have to warn everyone! With that, Storm took off to the mountain.

Upon reaching it, Storm roared out, "Ships are coming! Prepare for an attack! They are armed!" All the dragons were suddenly awake and ready. Most guarded the island and waited, but a large group was already taking off to attack. Storm flew above them, waiting for his chance.

The battle begun.

Several dragons were shot down, and many people were killed. Storm decided that now would be his time to shine, and dove down from the clouds, the familiar shriek coming off of his wings. Cries of, "Night Fury! Get down!" Rippled through the air as Storm decimated the deck of one of the ships. He continued to do the same to many other ships, firing purple plasma blasts at the hull or deck. Then, he suddenly swooped to the clouds, disappearing from sight.

Silence followed.

The warriors suddenly broke into cheers, assuming they had scared him off. Oh, how wrong they where.

Storm flew to the blackest cloud and gathered all the lightning he could absorb. He felt as the electricity sparked through him and raced through his veins. His heart pounded harder in his chest with the new found energy source, and he plummeted back down to the battle. Upon reaching the ships, Storm flung his wings open and drew the energy to the back of his throat. Down below, the raiders were greatly confused. Storm released the energy, aiming it at the deck, and the ship was torn apart. Storm felt grim satisfaction as the burnt ship groaned and caved in on itself, and he whirled around to keep fighting when his heart nearly stopped. They had reached the Sanctuary.

Hi people! Sorry I haven't updated in a little while... I've been really busy. I know this chapter wasn't long, but the next one will be, I promise lol.
